My brother bought spiderman 2 when it came out and seems to no longer buy his own games after he found out how bad it was.

Star Trek: Legacy. SO MUCH SUCK.
Alexander, which I luckily didn't buy myself. I mean, seriously? That game is so full of flaws, bugs and other bad stuff it's a surprise anyone even released it. It reminds me of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing (YOU'RE WINNER!). (Which I only ever saw on the Internet. It isn't THAT bad.)
Heaven & Hell, some weird game developed in Germany.
The Settlers: Heritage of Kings. Oh come on, it isn't even REMOTELY a Settlers game! And what's with the horribly cliché storyline and bloody corny voice acting? I played a handful of levels, then deinstalled it in disgust.

Im not ashamed of owning any game but i am angry that i bought Devil May Cry 4.
It could have been so much better (starts to cry pure anger and disappointment) Why capcom Why did you put Nero in instead of Vergil/Nelo Angelo and fuck up the rest of the game as well?!

The Force Unleashed for the 360. This was the game that changed me from being optimistic about game releases to becoming utterly cynical. Also why oh why didn't I rent it first!?

Harry Potter Quidditch for Gamecube, but I actually thought it was really really fun, if a little easy. I wish they'd make a Quidditch game for XBox 360, using XBox Live to assemble teams based on what type of player you are, and battle others. It'd be so possible, and with complete control over your self-designed avatar.. /sigh

Well, I would say, I have yet to be displeased with the purchase of a game, yes, Merc 2 might have been buggy as hell, well, let's just say that's the one I wanted to mention.

The "games no one will ever by" thread got me thinking, and I know this may have been done before, but why not another round?

So, I should preface my shame here... for a long time I was working in electronics retail, and microsoft has a program where you take quizes, earn points, and get games for ridiculously cheap ($9 USD for current titles!) I used to take part in that, so I have some crap hanging around from it I'm not to proud to have put down money for, (even just $9), so here is my list:

99 Nights - this game could have been cool too... shame
Viva Pinata + Viva Pinata 2 (and under the bus they go anyway...)
Kameo - maybe I just never gave this one a chance... oh well
Devil May Cry 4 - seriously...
Unreal 2 (Xbox) I must admit, I got this one used for about $10... and wish I had it back...

I'm sure there are more that have since been sent off to trade in heaven, but I'm not interested in looking them up on my hard drives... so, who else wants to share their shame?

WHAT!? I love Viva, Kameo, DMC4, and Unreal one was ok, never played 2 but seriously dude give Kameo a chance...

I don't understand... Halo one was plenty innovative. And Halo 2 and 3 lack innovation YES but it's deliberate because why would you want to change something that works so well? I'm sick of seeing Halo get ripped apart on forums... why DOES everyone hate it? It's not mediocre, it's fantastic and does a lot of things better than most games.

its because its popular and anything that becomes super popular gets more hate then it would otherwise
