Oh god... OH GOD... don't even get me STARTED!

This is the biggest problem I have as a gamer- I'm a compulsive buyer of games, with the result that I'm constantly acquiring more games that I don't have time to play. Even worse, getting a new game often compels me to start playing it, causing me to STOP playing another game I'd started before, only to lose momentum shortly afterwards. I estimate the number of games I've started and haven't finished is well in excess of 50 and I have at least 100 games still waiting to be played.

Ahhhh, games I have but have yet to play, I have a few of those, namely Civilization 1-3, Bayonetta, Dragon Age: Awakening and Final Fantasy IX. I don't want to to play too many games at once, I already made the exception by starting Pokemon Heart Gold.

I bought half of those last year used during a Gamestop sale, the others were new purchases. I just have this thing about buying games that I know I'll want to play, but getting overloaded with too many at once, and then not playing any of them. I swear, though, I will catch up, some day...

Let's see... my friend's Resident Evil 4 has been gathering dust on my shelf for almost half a year now. At first it was because I didn't have a gamepad and the game is borderline unplayable without one. Now I just can't be bothered. Something similar with my borrowed copy of Dirt.

Of the games I keep putting off finishing there's Supreme Commander 2, and that rental is almost due for a return. However, by the time I got to the Cybran campaign, all my will to play that mediocre piece of crap has evaporated. Anno 1404, while a good game, does get a bit monotonous and I just can't get moving to finish the last mission or some of the harder scenarios. Finally, Metro 2033 is sitting on my desktop, but I just can't seem to get into the game, it's just missing something...

To add insult to injury to all the above games, they are lower on my priority list than Plants VS Zombies (for the 9th time) and Peggle. Only when I'm bored of those two and there's nothing better to play (and I'm not watching a movie or a series) do I move on to my "What else is there?" list. Considering I also have RL obligations to get to as well, I doubt those will see any more action soon...
