You really think no one remembers those games?

Are you joking?! Look up Baldur's Gate Tutu. I and my 2 brothers were playing that today. Anyone over 23ish should remember BG1 or BG2.

Best.
Game.
Ever.
Hands down.
That game was solid gold.

@spinFX
Earthworm Jim is unknown to the new generation.
Tales of Phantasia fell into obscurity before being translated (badly) onto the Advance after the original Advance died.
Mother 3 ... well I love Mother 3 too much to not mention it.

The lost vikings
Check out Trine. My love of the Lost Vikings (Norse by Norsewest in particular) caused me to get this game.

It plays a lot like The Lost Vikings, and is overall a lot of fun.

Parasite Eve 2 for PSOne. Basically Squaresoft did Final Fantasy meets Resident Evil and it was so awesome. Drop the name in gaming conversations and Im surprised by how many people don't know it. Mind you, one group conversation someone menmtioned Dead Space and three people went 'huh? whats that?'

Keep in mind these are pretty old, but Jumping Jack Flash! for the PS1 is pretty obscure in my understanding, also from the NES: Solstice, Nightshade, and Deja Vu, I never knew anyone (in real life) that has played any of those games.

Oni. Pity it was done by a small developper so there was never a sequel..

Zen the Intergalactic Ninja for Gameboy. I have never heard anyone else ever speak of this game, though it was pretty fun(though it was a little basic).

lego racers, the ai in that game was ridiculously cheap but the game was so fun. and you could build your own cars, which was awesome.
That game was awsome! I remember playing for ages on my N64...good times.

I think Theme Hospital and Sid Meier's Gettysburg are fairly lesser known games, although I bet someone will come along and shoot me down.

I still play them as well, they're both pure awsomesauce

Looks incredible. Playing as that assassin looking chick looks the most fun.

Heart of the Alien, seeing as it was on the Sega CD it's no wonder why it was forgotten.
HotA was an OK sequel to Another World. They absolutely murdered the story and you could finish the game in 30 minutes. It was so bad that Eric Chahi completely removed himself from it.

... On the other hand you are correct when you stay on topic and state that no one remember that game (because they shouldn't)

Treasure Math Storm.
Zoombinies.
Nanosaur.
These were all games we(my friends and I) played in Elementary School. The last one we were somehow able at ages 7 to download it around the school's game blocker. Ah...good times.

There's a REASON people don't remember the games I'm about to mention:

Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball - futuristic basketball on the SNES with mediocre AI and one-button-does-it-all controls. Fun for a random timekiller.

Doomsday Warrior - Generic Street Fighter wannabe for SNES, with a bit of an RPG element thrown in (customizable attributes).

Totally Rad - Your basic Mario-like NES game from Jaleco that was very generic in Japan but was given a tongue-in-cheek 'Valley' translation.

Whomp 'Em - Another quality NES game from Jaleco, this time in the style of Mega Man... with Native American themes.
