I actually liked Gun. It was a fun rental, but nothing more.

As for me:

Dragon Age: Origins: I played for a while, but never completed it. I just can't bring myself to continue. It's so monotonous and like playing WoW by yourself. Which isn't a good thing.

Mass Effect: I played for a few hours. I had some fun fighting and stuff. Then I got to some city and I've spent as much time in that talking to people as I have fighting things before. I got so bored that I haven't found the willpower to play more.

Saint's Row 2: It isn't worth a second look. It's so chockfull of bugs that the game is hardly playable. It is the worst console-to-pc port I have ever played. But I still find myself playing it a ton because it's cool if you can ignore the game breaking bugs in it.

BioWare makes excellent stories and characters. But I always feel unsatisfied when it comes to gameplay.

Resistance.

I seriously don't know what was supposed to be so good about it. I even liked Gears of War better. And this is coming from a borderline Playstation fanboy.

Half-Life 2

I really don't know what the big hype was.
Same here.

Red Faction: Guerrilla
Once I saw how heavy the enemy resistance became if you tried to smash a crate, I shelved it. At that rate they were going to hit me with the death star if I tried to blow up a bridge or something.

Summoner.
I've completely forgotten the storyline and the combat was a shoe-horned attempt to give it more "action" that just made it feel dull.

Earth Defence Force for the PS2. Heard a lot of good hype about it and that's where I shoulda learned better. Hype. I'm picky enough as it is when acquiring a new game.

It had a fun and compelling arcade shooting aspect but that was it. The graphics were abhorrent and it generally played like something from the Psone era. Those weren't vehicles, they were cardboard cutouts with small electric motors instead of engines.

-Black and White (uninstalled it after getting halfway through the tutorial)

Whaaaaaaaaaat, I had sex with that game it was so good.
The tutorial is soooooo slow...No wonder he stopped, its prolly my least favorite tutorial ever. However, I think the OP should give it another chance, this time getting past the tutorial, because it really is a fun and innovative game once you get past the forced movement control sessions...

The first time I played FO3 I felt something like this, but after trying it again I'm happy to say I enjoy it entirely.

Half life 2 and portal. Just boring. The guy above said ff13 because you just walk. i loved ff13 and at least you fought. Half life and portal was walking and listening to dialogue and observing the story apparently. (Mumbles to himself "needed 3 generators to open a door i could have easily destroyed or disassembled with the gravity gun stupid padding out")
You made it to "Follow Freeman" and still didn't find any action? Maybe we played different games.

I guess Modern Warfare 2 was this for me.

The Saboteur - I just couldn't get into it, it all felt like it had been done before and better. The whole black and white thing was the only redeeming feature.
The black and white feature made walls, bushes and fences hard to see in my opinion. But I will agree that everything else in Saboteur had been done before.

OT: I would say Wheelman was not worth the buy or a second look. It was just full of clunky driving and bad controls.

Champions online. I was utterly astounded by how boring it was. It was even more boring than Everquest, because in EQ at least there were people typing messages and getting in groups to kill the enemies. Wheras in Champions online I think I was in maybe one group during the entire time I played it. Not only that, but most of the time there were more messages from the mobs in the game than from other players, which is a sure sign you don't have enough community in the game.

Street Fighter IV and Super SF IV.

Seriously, Capcom, what the hell? What did you do to this game? First, the game played too slowly, then Super comes out and compensates for the slightly faster speed with stripping away a number of modes. That's not good design, Capcom.

I've never been a fan of these games, but after playing Alpha 3 with a few friends, I had some respect for it. Street Fighter IV and Super, however, don't feel the same. I don't know why, but it's like there's more flash than substance in these games.

Final Fantasy XIII

Gah, Square. What happened? Yes, the game is pretty, but looks cannot make up for the complete lack of attachment to these characters or the ridiculous linearity of the game itself. There was potential for greatness here, especially in the themes of the game, but it like no one cared.

Killzone 2, I was playing it and realized I'd rather be doing something else and I never bothered to find out why.

dragon age origins, awakening. seriously, no matter how good the story and gameplay are, i cant play an rpg where you start at the max level, my mage had every spell i ever wanted, and then could pick like 5 more.
