I personally look at it this way. I got see a new movie in the theaters, I pay $10 dollars. If I'm entertained for 2 hours, I think it was worth it. So, if the price of entertainment for 2 hours is $10, then, my 'infallible' reason suggests, that a $60 game must entertain me for 12 hours to be considered worth it.

Ofcourse, I think the vast majority of movies fail at this test, as do the vast majority of games.

I rented AC2 and enjoyed it but had I laid down the $60 I would have been pissed. by the Tenth sequence I was getting bored with the main story/missions and side missions were getting repetitive and in most cases annoying.

MW2....they just had to make it $10 more expensive than the regular price of a new release even though some might go so far to argue the game felt more like an expansion than a stand alone.

Even the PC version...0o

Still Halo:ODST takes the cake....and thankfully I never got it...=D

Sacred 2.. not worth the $100 AUD I paid... I've played it twice.

I would say MW2, but I never bought it, just recieved it as a gift.

And on reverse topic, I honestly think I would pay above retail price (or should have) for Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. I <3 Bioware.

In Australia, any new release on the ps3 (I don't care how damn fantastic it is, $110 is obscene). I fact, any full priced retail game, a $100 starting mark is plain retarded, especially when teh same game can be imported from elsewhere for ~$60 (usually cheaper)...

Specificially, I can't think of anything recently I've bought. I'd say left 4 dead 2, but that's dirt cheap so it probably is worth it. I guess Modern warfare 2, as I hear the campaign is short and the multiplayer butchered, but I didn't bother with it so I'm hardly an authority.
So agree, really, it sucks to be australian if you like anything even vaguely technological, we really get ripped off in comparison to the rest of the world.
