My love for the series is bordering on the inappropriate. I'm a little worried about the tone of it(all that colour!!)... But from what I've seen they're nailing the mechanics.

If they get it right, it'll be another Max Payne game that I play over and over again.

The lack of Sly 4 on this thread is making me sad. I mean, it was announced at E3 quite literally 3 minutes after I told my friend "I doubt Sly will be making an appearance less than a year after that teaser". Even though I was overjoyed enough by seeing a colourful stylized view of Paris (as opposed to brown and gritty desert with chest-high walls), when I saw that shadow and heard those sirens I was ecstatic. No word on a release date, but they seem pretty set on 2012. E3's footage was ok, but the recent screenies of the overworlds, characters, and cutscenes REALLY make me excited. They may not be Sucker Punch, but Sanzaru is cleaning up nicely. Even if it's half as good as the originals, that's still a victory.

Naughty Dog has also been whispering here and there about a Jak and Daxter HD trilogy. I know it's Sony's way to take your money, but since I'm so hungry for a good (non-Mario or Ratchet) platformer this generation, I say "TAKE IT! TAKE IT NOW!!!"

And I guess it's not TOO unreasonable to hope for The Last Guardian to get a late 2012 (or early 2013) release.

Oh and BioShock: Infinite, I've pretty much forgotten about that game, glad it's finally coming next year.

How could I forget about Borderlands 2 after playing the first one for countless hours!?, same with Mass Effect 3.

Should Persona 5 be released in 2012, it will fly to the top of this list. If it's even released that year, it'll be later on and a few months will have to pass before we get the localization.

Anything Atlus, Platinum, Epic or BioWare is on my radar, though. Might as well just put them as my list.

Going off the top of my head...

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron - WFC is still one of my favorite shooters today, and I can't wait to see how the sequel turns out. I also hope it sells better than WFC, so the online community doesn't become a ghost town as quickly as WFC did.

Oh crap i totally forgot about TF fall of Cybertron which is now added to my list for Grimlock and Jazz goodness.

It'll get canceled. Capcom only announces megaman stuff to troll their fans now.

It's a fan game. If Capcom does anything it will be a cease and desist. But I doubt that given existing fan games.

(Sorry, but I can't think of anything else coming out next year that I'm personally excited about other than GW2. I suppose I'm looking forward to the relaese of FFXIII Versus, but that's only because Square Enix are using the Kingdom Hearts team to make the game, and therefore KH3 can't even be started until that game finishes)
