Yes I said Wet.
It was fun.

Shut up!
I liked it, too.

Digimon Rumble Arena.
I still own that. Great game.

For my nomination: . Literally, flawed beauty. The game is so beautiful.

Battlefield: Bad Company
brilliant multiplayer game i never understood why people hated it so much. Just because it is Battlefield doesn't mean it has to be Battlefield 2 again, things change.

Armored Core 4.

Oh cmon, gigantic fighting robots going head to head with each other never gets old!
I agree with this, the game wasn't brilliant but for some reason i just couldn't stop playing it

I think a good game is a game that has quite some flaws but manages to keep me coming back. Examples?

Kane & Lynch
Vagrant Story
Thief
Wild Arms 2nd Ignition
Lost Odyssey

DMC4; story's crap, levels are linear (and literally repetative = you play the first levels all again in reverse), Dante has been made awful (purely in comparison to Nero), Voice acting poor, not exactly the most likeable characters, irritating "puzzles" and jumping sequences

However all of of that vanishes the instant you blow up an enemy with fully charged pistol rounds, get a SSS ranking for your style or the that pure joy at surviving a level of Dante Must Die Difficulty

Hearts of Iron 2. Still more bugs than anyone can shake a stick at, inconsistent AI and some horrible ways for the AI to cheat to "keep it fair". Still, I love it to death.

FFX-2, yes I had to have it on mute since the dialogue was poor (and the script I had in my head was a lot more interesting, it also works with Mean Girls but that's another story) and the story was weak, and the gameplay was nothing special.
But it was an FF game, and I was going to complete it

You're right. I was shit at Pazaak.
Lol! I love Pazaak, it is one of my fave minigames :)
Even though the computer is a cheating bastard?
There's this little tactic I like to employ called 'save before playing pazaak'! ;-)
So...save scumming? I'd rather play a game where you don't have to do that.

Hmmm... Mass Effect is a game that I absolutely love, and have finished several times, despite the texture pop-in, elevator rides and repetitive sidequests.

.
And barren geography, and Mako, and broken framerates, and messy shooting mechanics...

I still love it to bits too.

I think EVE Online qualifies in that category. There is a lot of potential, and at times it's awesome. But for the most part, it's an animated spreadsheet. You just have to stare at it for long enough to catch that intermittent interval of awesomeness. The rest of the time, you can, well, chat, and revere the idea that awesome things could happen, if you were to stare for a long enough time.

Dwarf Fortress.

Flawed beauty in it's purest form right there.
Between the messy interface, absolute lack of gameplay direction, superfluous functions and performance issues - yeah, there are plenty of flaws.

But all the same, the incredible level of minute detail, the humour and the plain passion that has gone into a one-man army development process - there is so much jewel that once you start touch-typing the interface and enjoy losing before lag from the 5100 slow path-finding routines for every other flop sets in, it earns a permanent place among the classics.

I think No More Heroes fits the bill of flawed beauty perfectly. The graphics are rough, the overworld that comprises half of the game is a tedious grindfest, and the combat is borderline repetitive at times. However, the bizarre nature of the game and its characters coupled with the over-the-top deaths and fun motion controls make it a special kind of awesome.
