I was in my local game store and as I was waiting to pay for my game I noticed that command and conquer tiberium wars was on 360.

Now I know that a few early command and conquer games were on the PS1 but I thought we had moved passed that stage of trying to get an RTS game on a console, I know ruse was on there aswell but C&C really surprised me.

So what about you?

Just for the record, C&C RA3 is also on the 360, and it's not bad, it's no PC RTS but they've managed to get most of the complex commands in using the controller and it works fairly well IMO.

More OT: I actually can't think of any other than RTSs on consoles... actually that CoD game on the DS and pretty much any FPS on a handheld seems a bit weird to me, the controls don't /quite/ work IMO.

Rayman is on the Atari Jaguar, I shit you not, it was even originally going to be an exclusive to the failed platform.

That's not all, even games such as Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, Worms, Canon Fodder, and Theme Park made their way on to that piece of crap.

Also, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil are on the Sega Saturn which feels weird, as you would normally associate those franchises with the Playstation. Tomb Raider (like Rayman) was also Planned as an exclusive, but for the Sega Saturn instead. The game however sold much more on the Playstation, and the rest (as you can say) is history.

There have been quite some RTS's on consoles over the years, but most didn't really work. I've got Conflict Zone on PS2 (also released on Dreamcast) and C&C on PS1 lying around, for instance.
