Total Drivin for the PS1... no one around me remembers anything like it and I thought it was terrific as my introduction to driving sims.

Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. Just a brilliant game. Also Croc, I vaguely remember owning it on the PSone, but I haven't heard anyone else ever mention it.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts
I don't care if it was released a few years ago. Nostalgic fanboys damned it to the farthest reaches of space.
Great game though.
It's a good game but it totally screws up the franchise as platform
There is a reason it wasn't called Banjo Kazzoie 3.

Anyway the game for me is Buck Bumble that game was awesome.
Fuck yeah! It's bickety buck BUMBLE!

....

but yeah, anyone ever play Baten Kaitos for the gamecube? Said to be one of the only good rpgs on the gamecube....loved it to bits.

You never hear people talk about that game anymore, used to play it on my Commodore 64.
Totally remember M.U.L.E.!

Wrecking Crew for NES. I've mentioned it lots of times, but no one seems to remember it. Also, Faxanadu for the NES. "Don't have negative thoughts." - Best death screen pep talk ever.

Dragon Warrior for the NES, I loved that game.
Also still one of my faves. I still have it AND the Nintendo Power strategy guide!

Revenge of the Mutant Camels on Amiga 500+
You played as a camel in some kind of crazy side-scrolling shoot-em-up. Also you could collect cigarettes as powerups.

hmm lets see, commander keen I suppose, you can still find it pretty easy but Ive never heard anyone else talk about it
Damn, you stole my answer.

Commander Keen...

Hocus Pocus. Aha! Bet you've never heard of that.
Oddly when looking for a Windows 7 patch for Worms Armageddon at work we came across a site for abandonware which had Hocus Pocus on it. I used to have a big disk with about 30 games on it that had Hocus Pocus too. Commander Keen, on the other hand, is like *the* Dos platofrmer and everyone SHOULD go play it.

Multiplayer on Future Cop was phenomenal.

I bet you all that I can name one game none of you have ever heard of.
9: The Last Resort [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_(computer_game)]
Ever played it? I didn't think so. It is pretty quirky though, and hard to play on modern computers. Got it running though, once I managed to get a hold of it. Never properly beat it, because of a bug which meant I would have to play the entire game over again.

Anyway, it is a Myst-like puzzle game with the voices of Christopher Reeve(yes, Superman himself), Steven Tyler and Joe Perry (both from Aerosmith), James Belushi (you know who that was) and Cher. Oh, and it was produced by Robert De Niro.
Seriously, I'm not even making any of this up.

Those dizzy games for one. Anyone remember that walking egg? My childhood hero *sniff*
The simon the sorcerer games i thought were awsome.

I've heard of 9 (actually I've heard of/played a lot of the older games mentioned on this thread, which makes me feel old lol) but never played it. I loved the Dizzy and Simon the Sorceror games -wasn't there a 3rd 3D one made not that long ago? I played a tiny bit of Arcanum, it's still installed somewhere on my laptop.

Those old cds full of shareware games were great. I had one that had Hocus Pocus on it as well, and it was one of the ones on the disc I played the most. Does anyone else wish the studios would go back to a shareware model? It's gettting to a point where it would even be feasible on consoles, and I can see having large demos available for every game helping to lower piracy numbers. Surely it's a win win?

The only problem with that is that I never, ever, ever paid for (or asked my parents to pay for, rather) a Shareware game :(
