Deadly premonition is one of my most favourite games of all time, it reminds me so much of "Twin peaks" and there are a couple of nods towards "Twin peaks" if you know where to look. Also, the characters and the story more than make up for the poor graphics and wonky gameplay. Awesome game, love it to bits

I don't think it works that way with games. Bad gameplay is just a chore.
Though parts of games can be so broken that they are hilarious. Acrobatics in Oblivion comes to mind. It's so ridiculous looking, especially if you play most of the time in 3rd person like I do. I like to jump and then see how many times I can spin around before I land.
Actually...Oblivion has a lot of things like that. Like when the physics messes up once you enter a room. You step in and all the items in the room drop to the floor like they were having a party while you were out and they don't want you to know about it.
Level up a good many skills all the way and then things get ridiculous. High Strength+Hand to Hand+Skooma+Sneaky punching=Hilarity.

Also Godhand deserves a look too. Boss fights include two flamboyant homosexuals, five midgets wearing Power Rangers armor, A gorilla wrestler, and(I think)poison chihuahuas. No not "poisoned" chihuahuas, poison chihuahuas. There is actually a mini game where you race them.
