A few come to mind such as;

Banjo-Kazooie
Chocobo (insert secondary word)
Conker
Crimson Skies
Dark Void
Dino Crisis
Mech Assault
Psychonaughts
Star Wars (Battlefront, KotOR, Bounty Hunter, Republic Commando/Sith Commando, Force Unleashed but only as an Anthology)
Voodoo Vince

---

Not a sequel but I would give as much money as it would take to get a full on Halo Longsword game and/or Halo Mech game. Give me huge vehicular combat please, preferably in space.

It's been said a couple times on the first page, but I think it definitely needs to be repeated until it happens.
We need a sequel to Star Wars: Republic Commando and a Battlefront 3.
The thread is officially over until we get these games.

Spec Ops: The Line 2 (or the 2nd line, for a bit of humor)
How would you recommend they go and make a second Spec Ops? I mean, the game was outstanding and it's currently my GOTY, but it really didn't set itself up for a sequel. I mean, to make a sequel they're going to have to make any of the three endings cannon, which would essentially piss off a large portion of the people who played it. And even then, what would the plot be?
Ah, yes I guess I didnt really think about that lol, I just really enjoyed the game and wanted another one of that quality. Guess I will change this vote for something else. Lets say maybe

Psychonaughts
High quality F-zero
X-wing vs Tie-fighter
Action Adventure Megaman (maybe... I am kinda flipfloppin on the idea)

Hmm... STEAMBOT CHRONICLES COMES TO MIND. I mean, seriously. they had a sequel planned for release on the PS3 (WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME and the sole reason I would buy a PS3...) but they canceled the development of it... :(

Also, it doesn't necessarily need a sequel, but minecraft 2, with it being on another engine and not run in java would probably be amazing...

Well obviously Alan Wake, Silent Hill (yeah, I know it gets lost of good sequels but I want more damn it), F.E.A.R (I mean a sequel that doesn't totally miss the point of the series), Republic Commando.

I could name more but I think I should end with my biggest sequel wish: Dead Space 3. If Lost Planet gets not only 1 but 2 new games, Dead Space should get one too...

Oh, f*ck you

Star Wars: Battlefront 3
Killer Instinct
Brutal Legend
MEGAMAN LEGENDS (you cruel bastards)
Timesplitters
Legend of Dragoon
A current Gen Pokemon that you can catch Scyther in
Another Mana Series game would be nice right about now

Honorable mention for Dishonored. I know it's only new, but would love a sequel. Such an interesting world, want to know more about it.
I think it likely with the sales that Dishonored will get a sequel. The ending left considerable room for direct sequels, and that's just assuming they don't do something like Dragon Age or Assassin's Creed and make a completely new protagonist.

I'm of the opinion due to this cash cow business model that no game needs a sequel. Sequels are almost invariably not as good. How much flak does Bioshock 2, a decent game by any standard, get. The same thing is liable to happen to a Mirror's Edge 2.

Big publishers already push this sort of thing with cliffhanger endings. I never bought ME3, probably won't get DA3 just because I know that I'm not playing a game, I'm playing some insignificant chapter in an overarching epic. Except it's not that epic. Each chapter set alone is rather tepid.

Yes get it made I absolutely loved that game and it still has the best world map ever. I think many of the people who made it went on to make Valkyria Chronicles which is even better so I forgive them in a way.

The sequel I really want is Darkstalkers 4 cmon Capcom just announce it already other than that a proper sequel to CTR would be nice, its never going to happen but it would be nice. Vagrant story 2 would also be good and one sequel that has to happen is the longest journey 3 (or whatever you want to call it) such brilliant games (storywise) and they leave it ending like that? why the hell did you do that?

Vampire, The Masquerade: Bloodlines
Was thinking the same thing.

And maybe in the sequel, we could play as six of the Werewolf Tribes from "Werewolf: The Apocalypse"!

Although I guess it wouldn't be call "Vampire" then, would it?

Aw Hell, I just need an excuse to get back to that "World of Darkness" and do more stuff!

I'll probably be alone here but for me it's

Legacy of Kain Defiance: Needs one last game damn it.

Syphon Filter: One that actually properly features Gabe.

Tenchu: Yeah a new Tenchu that continues the story of 3, completely ignores 4 and finally for the love of god updates the stealth system.
You know what not even a sequel. How about a remake/reboot.
One that expands on the stealth, player choice, and level size and design and layout and last but not least in this day and age. The story.

I am a bit torn on this particular matter. One the one hand, I'd love to see a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger, as it is a wonderful game worth anyone's time. On the other hand, the game ended pretty damn well and doesn't really require an actual sequel, the sequel would probably be made by SquareEnix and we already have an alternate-reality pseudo-sequel anyway (Cross).

So I'm not really sure what to say.

Reading the title I came in this thread wanting to suggest Mirror's Edge 2.

I'm glad the OP thought of it already. That's I all I've got atm.
