I thought Crysis was overrated. The graphics were amazing, but story and gameplay wise wasn't that impressive.

The throw myself on the bandwagon, GTA4. It was fun, but the support characters broke flow with their constant demands for attention. Also, the game seemed to drag on and on.

Another overrated game... the first Halo. It was ok, but the series didn't come into it's own until the third game, which I found to be fun and and have a passable storyline. RElated to this, I find the third Halo game to UNDER - rated. Anygame that lets me jump from a ledge onto my firends space ship, plant a sticky grenade, then jump to another ledge, gets a gold star in my books.
how can it be under rated it got 10/10 (mostly)u cant have a higher mark then that
Scores don't say if a game is underrated or overrated.

Here is an example: Okami got very good scores from pretty much everyone and now it is underrated because almost nobody bought it.

Jet Set Radio Future.

It got high score from Gamespot and IGN and it is absolute shite. They must have been bribed.
I thought it was fun. I had never seen a well done cell-shaded game before Jet Set Radio Future.

Fallout 3 - its just plain bad compared to Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics. oh and also because the pc version just a cheap port from the xbox 360
Try getting the DLC on a console. Or mods. Or other player made stuff.

For me, GTA IV is the biggest let down. I need a PC from the future to play it in 1680x1050 on medium on more than 30 fps? Give me a break.

For me;

Halo series - first one was kinda fun, but the other 2 I found to be boring.
Fable - Just didn't appeal to me.
COD WaW - It would have to have been made by Jesus to live up to COD4

GTA 4 -- story really wasn't good, though it WAS complex. Graphics were ok technically, and decidedly meh artistically, so it got boring to look at. Took itself far too seriously, and the friend/date system was just outrageously tedious.

Halo (trilogy) -- Fun shooters, and the first was way ahead of its time, but for a "story-based" game, the story is lacking. There is very little strategy, almost no tactics (the sniper rifle is commonly used like an assault rifle...come on), the weapons are ridiculous (though better in 3), and the levels were shamelessly padded for length.

I have other dislikes, but they're mostly just straight opinions with little to no basis in fact. So I'll leave those to the imagination. :)

This topic has been driven so far into the ground it's hitting magma.

Nevertheless, since you asked, GTA 4. It's pretty damn good, but it's far from the revolutionary masterpiece the media has been praising it as. In particular, I think it is hilarious that it's being praised for "deep storytelling" and "complex characterization" when half the characters are absurd, 2-dimensional stereotypes.

GTA4- seriously the game is boring. The graphics are bland. Believe it or not, I have more fun on GTA2 but maybe thats because it actually had tanks.
Halo 3- a short game that relies on multiplayer for replayability isnt good and it was extremely overhyped
The GH series GH 3 and beyond- 3 and later were just unnecessary.
All MMO's- people shouldn't shucking out money to constantly grind levels for days
FF series- especially 7, its the samey linear game with samey themes with crud stories
Brawl- really it couldve stopped at melee. The games roster is packed with identical characters to beef up characters. In melee YL defined himself against Link with agility speed and more effective specials. Ganondorf traded Capt Facolns speed for power. In the other direction was luigi to mario. Maybe i just don't like the wii.

The title of this thread should be "Popular games I don't like"

I usually don't like the "Use the search" and "This thread's been done before" proclaimers, but this one has been done to absolute death, and only ends up being a list of games that are well known or popular. People get their feelings hurt because someone called their favorite game a piece of crap, and the flaming starts.

Diablo II did this as well and for the same reason I didn't like it.

I never, ever take the bait in threads like this. I mean everyone hates Halo 3 and it's still the most played game on XBox Live. Halo 2 is the most played original XBox title. Plenty of other games I like get thrashed in threads like this, and it's just not worth arguing about because people have a wide range of tastes and opinions, and I respect that.

But JSRF being 'shite' as you put it? You are wrong.
