I will be doing this with Dark Souls, but I have also done it with both Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 (and their 3DS re-releases). I've bought Resident Evil 4 at least 3 times between the GCN, Wii, and 360 releases. I've bought Halo 1 and Halo 2 twice each as well...

I bought the N64 Paper Mario at least 3 times, because I kept being stupid enough to trade it in and then, within a few months, be yearning to play it again. That was dumb of me. But it taught me a good lesson about trading in games, and how I should just never do it. Ever. Hehe.

Edit: Oh, I've also bought the Diablo II battlechest twice.

Oblivion, PC/PS3 (2)
COD 4, PS3/PC (2)
COD MW2, PS3 (2)
Legend of the Dragoon, PSX (2)
MGS3, PS2 (2)

That's all that comes to mind atm.

Only two games I can think of off the top of my head. First is Halo:CE, because I got it for PC long before I had an Xbox. The second is Team Fortress 2, because I bought it with Orange Box for the 360, then a year later gave up on the hope that Valve would ever patch the 360 version and bought it off Steam.

Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. I thought the xbox version was fun but i know Valve games are always better on PC so i got them on a steam sale

Also Orange Box. First thing from valve i bought and such an amazing collection of games.

Lastly Call of Duty 4. Loved the multiplayer on PC but my friends had it on Xbox so got it there too.

3x Fallout
3x Fallout 2
3x Arcanum
3x Planescape: Torment
I lost all of these games when one time when I moved so next time I wanted to play them I bought new ones and then I bought them again when GOG started selling them so that I could not loose them.
The funny thing is that I moved again and found my original copies so I now have 2 physical copies and one digital so anytime I find out a friend has not played any of these games I can loan them a copy. 1 or 2 have even gone out and bought their own copies afterward.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Morrowind, Oblivion, Audiosurf, Titan Quest, Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2, a bunch of Valve games...

(edit) And Planescape: Torment, as well. Forgot about that one.

I bought Shadow of the Colossus twice. The original version and the HD collection.

I guess Team Fortress 2 counts too, as I got The Orange Box for the PS3, and then I migrated over to the PC version once I heard there were more levels and weapons on there. Although I wasn't really able to play it until after it became free due to my older PC not running it well at all.

Also most games I had for the PS1 I bought again from the PSN, like Spyro, Crash, and Oddworld. Same for Ocarina of Time through the Wii. I would also say Majora's Mask, but I only rented that game.

I think I've got around three copies of Baldur's Gate 2 sitting around in one place or another. I honestly can't even remember why I bought two copies of the trilogy box... don't particularly mind either since the games just so good. Still got the original box for BG2 as well, it sits proudly atop a bookshelf so I can admire it all the more easily.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. I got it when it first came out on the original Xbox, but between then and now I lost that Xbox and all the games I had for it. Because it was one of my favourite games back then, I decided to buy the HD version that recently came out on PSN.

Also, since I'll probably be upgrading my PC to true gaming capabilities sometime in the next couple of years, I'll most likely end up getting new copies of Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim, both of which I already have on PS3, in order to capitalize on the mods.

I bought Team Fortress 2 three times, that's right, three.

I was into console gaming and I got the Orange Box for 360, then I realized there were these awesome free updates that the PC version got so I bought it alone on the PC. Then I remembered all the games would probably be better on PC (also steam remembered my account from nearly 5 years ago so that's awesome) so I got the Orange Box for PC. Then it went free, but that's fine.

So technically Half Life 2 I got 3 times, the GoTY edition, 360 Orange Box and PC Orange Box.

Let's see..
Fable 2: in a fit of rage I "moved" my 360 and scratched the disc so I bought another one a couple months laters....still have the scratched one, as a reminder >.>

Battlefield 3: got the 360 version but found out that I would not be able to play it the day I got it. so I buy the pc version. later found out the 360 version was c**p visually so I traded it in.

Hegemonia: legions of iron: it was good game but could never get the expansion untill the gold version went on sale on impulse/GS.

Supreme Commander + expansion :I have the disc (have to patch it before I can play), the expansion on impulse/GS. I got tired of having to patch the game every time I installed it then the gold version finally popped up on steam so I bought that.

Sin of a Solar Empire: bought the game, wanted the expansions but could not afford them. Trinity version went on sale for $20, expansions costed $20 each.

Battlefield Bad Company 2: a gift for my best friend to play.

Halo 3: teacher would not let me take it with me, to make sure it did not get stolen, and had me put it my backpack in the class room..... sure enough it got stolen. I quickly black-listed that teacher.

Mercs 2: gift for my best friend.....we had fun but be banned me from using nukes while playing with him, i wonder why ; P

Games that I buy again...
Homeworld: threw out the box while moving to a new home... it had the CD key on it, stupid me >.<
Mechcommander 2: CD has become scratched and files corrupted.

It's only happened to me twice. I bought Metal Gear Solid 3 times if you count Twin Snakes, and I bought a PS1 and PC version of FF VIII.

4x Psychonauts: All on Steam. They kept having sales and I kept telling people they should play it so I just went ahead and gave them copies when it was on sale.

2x Deus Ex: Steam and Physical back in the day

2x Bastion: I gave the other as a gift on Steam

2x Monkey Island: Again gave the other as a gift on Steam

Megaman 10. It came out on wii first....!? Not sure why, but I did not tolerate that. I then bought it for the Xbox so I could get achievements for it. It also didn't hurt that I was showing my support for these retro projects that I really want Capcom to make more of. A lot of good that did, those fuckers.
