Games that break the 4th wall? (or mindf*ck moments if you wish)

What are your favorite "break the 4th wall" moments in games? If you do not know what that means, it is when someone or something in a game/movie/show does something to show that they know this is all fake and not real life (I could use a better definition)


anyway, I love mindf*cks in games, and breaking the 4th wall also counts as a mindf*ck to me.

One I like:
The Banshee from Fable 2

As you fight the Banshee, she taunts you with comments about your adventures, depending on what you have done so far. She also will make fun of the player.

Examples:
"Think about all the endless hours you've wasted playing this game. And for what? Nothing!"

"The people you see, all the people you talk to, they are not real. You are alone in this universe. Terribly alone."

and this one somewhat works too, as you can't really die in the game, but you do cheat death in the story (not that big of a spoiler)

"Why do you think you continue to cheat death? Not even oblivion wants you."




So what are some examples you have? And if you can't think of any, just some "WTF" moments will do.

I like the way the Fable games kind of break the 4th wall, perhaps not completely but they do comment and poke fun at the player and their gameplay.

In Fable 3, one of the NPC's will say something like:

"I hear you like to run around and hop over walls for no apparent reason".

It's funny because from a player's point of view, sprinting and vaulting over walls is quicker than following the path, but from a citizen of Albion's perspective it does seem like quite strange behaviour.

Another example is when you get the top score on the Wheel of Misfortune, Barry Hatch says:

"Do you think anyone will beat this score?"

to which Reaver replies:

"Perhaps, if they possess sufficient skill and a complete lack of a social life".

That Matt Hazard game which is basically just a parody of gaming anyway. Not a great game, but funny.
