Sonic 2 got me into gaming and held me there fast till I was in my teens, aided by Streets of Rage, Gunstar heroes and Mario 64. Those games were all very significant and memorable.

Mass effect made me think hard, as did a few other RPG's, Final Fantasy 10 included in that honoured list.

The original SimCity, ported to the SNES. I had no idea a game could do that, and it was such a massive improvement over the mindless shooting and jumping of the action games I'd been playing up to that point that what could easily have died as a childhood fad turned into a lifelong love as I discovered games like Aerobiz, Uncharted Waters, and (on the PC) Sid Meier's Civilization. Seventeen years after that initial discovery of what gaming could be, I just bought Out of the Park Baseball X and Hearts of Iron 3.

Final Fantasy 6,7,8,9 & 10 touched me emotionally,
I was born in 1994 and I didn't start playing games till I was 9 so I missed the Final Fantasy games and only started playing them on my 13th birthday when my older brother hacked my psp so I could play all the ps1 FF's (starting from FF6)and I bought a Ps2 just to play FFX & FFX-2.

Portal and Braid changed the way I see the world around me

The original Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior over here) on the NES was what turned me onto roleplaying games. Considering that RPGs are how I make a living now, I'd say it affected my life in a pretty big way.

Monkey Island I got me into gaming.

Warcraft I got me into RTS.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past got me into console gaming.

Medieval: Total War was the first game I totally obsessed over while playing, and still do.

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature got me and my brother to hang out a lot more.

Mother 3.
It's a game that you were just happy to be on the ride for. It gives you everything you could ever want from a game. And in all reality, the only thing I wish it came packaged with were more hours of the day (Or this!)

The Behemoth's "Alien Hominid". The game open my eyes to the thought that things don't need to be revolutionary, beautiful, or realistic to be fun (I.E. Legos :p)

Due to the Butterfly Effect doesn't everything we do and every game we play change our lives and the universe?

Final fantasy 7 and Resident evil. I was just a kid when they both came out, but after playing them both previously only tried SNES they both blew my mind grafically, action, story. RE is basically the sole reason I learned english. I could almost speak fluent english by the age of 9-10 ish.

Fallout 3. I got my ass saved by the Brotherhood from super mutants after I was nearly killed by fire ants, the lighting in the game was brilliant and patriotic music was playing in the backround because of the Enclave's radio system. Now it may have been because it was 4 in the morning and I was so tired I was easily sugestible but I felt a new found patriotic feeling sweep over me knowing that there were real people saving others from real killers.
