Games that could work as another genre

What game do you thing could work as another genre? I mean like gears of war being a realistic tactical squad based shooter like flash point, or diablo working as an RTS kind of thing.

Starcraft as an action/RPG.

They cancelled Ghost, which is a shame. It had potential.

Indeed! I would really loved a FPS-style starcraft game.
I really hope Blizzard will consider making a game like that after all.

I'd say Fallout 3 would make a great RTS.

Then again pretty much any game with 6-8+ important characters can make an RTS.

How about Asteroids with experience points and money wherein you could buy upgrades for your ship and your pilot.
