Back in '98 when StarCraft was actually new I was in awe of just about every cinematic that involved an alien or an alien ship killing something.

On the topic of Blizzard their cinematics can do that for me a lot, actually. The opening to WarCraft III had that feeling of holding your breath than getting that chill that something awesome was about to happen when the battlefield started moving.

And to steal from Jiggabyte, the holy hand grenade from worms. I can agree on that one. Another great moment in worms is when you actually get a chance to use prod. I had a friend on a ledge and he had thought he'd gotten away from me, then I just pull out my finger, poke him, hear a splash and I've won the game. xP

1 - Seeing the breath-taking vistas in Uncharted 2.
2 - The first time I leaped from the top of the highest point in Assassin's 2. (I get Vertigo pretty easily)
3 - Watching the closing cinematic of Metal Gear Solid 4 where Solid Snake confronts Big Boss. It brought a tear to my eye... such a glorious ending to such an epic saga.
4 - Almost every time I boot up FF7 and watch the opening cinematic. Nostalgia is almost certain to well up some emotion.

*Note* - You may not agree with these, but keep in mind... I have a pretty big flat screen in 1080p and surround sound. So, The first three examples are magnified due to the crisp beauty of the images and sound quality.

Elite Beat Agents gets you REALLY into things when you're playing the final song on the hardest difficulty with the volume turned up to full.
I WAS BOOOORN IN A CROSSFIRE HURRICANE
AND I HOOOOOWLED AT MY MA IN THE DRIVING RAIN
Sorry.
Also Phoenix Wright can be like that in the "Cornered" moments.

This usually relates to the soundtrack for me, so my time I can recall is during the first time I saw the opening of Oblivion, immediately after the voiceover by Picard. When the camera starts panning around Imperial City, the Elder Scrolls theme begins playing like a fanfare, and BETHESDA SOFTWORKS PRESENTS gets plastered on the screen, I literally got chills.
Same here. That also happens to me when I watch the Morrowind intro.

Only one that really comes to mind is Shadow of the Colossus. That very first colossus for sure. ._. When you just saw it and it walks past you and you're standing out of sight behind that giant rock. Oh my gosh.
Then I got another chill when it first saw me and the music changed. It caused more or less and "Oh shit!" kind of chill but it was still amazing. xD

When i first played Max Payne 2. Before MP 2 Quake 3 was the only ''high tech'' game i had played. The first level just sent shivers though my body. The atmosphere was amazing and when i saw the first dead body i was shocked and disguised.
Suffering 2 sent shivers in a horror type of way.
KOTOR 2 sent shivers when i saw ''the evil'' choices in dialogue, they made me cringe. I couldn't even dare choosing them.

Eternal Darkness had some really awesome insanity effects that did this. Like when the sound went down and the volume bar was onscreen, it looked exactly like my TV's actual audio OSD lol. I sort of got the chills after watching the Episode 1 recap on the intro to Half Life 2 Ep 2.

Not the scary kind of chills, but something that just hit you good and literally sent a shiver down your spine because it was so awesome or cool or something.
Legacy of Kain: Defiance - There's a certain boss battle that's just awesome (right down to the dialog)

The ending and credits of every Half-Life game, the soundtrack is amazing at creating the 'shiver down the spine' effect. Also most of Final Fantasy X.

The ending scene from Halo 3. The memorial they have for all of the fallen soldiers and how 117 is written on the corner of the wing. Then the extra ending where hes climbing into the cryo-chamber right before you see the planet move into view. I thought it was pretty cool.

Hehe...I'm guilty of also enjoying that kind of thing.

What immediately sprang to mind was when Max discovered the city of Ehn'gha in Eternal Darkness...it wasn't a scary moment, I felt rather thrilled to find that section.

When I played the final boss battle of MGS4. The showdown I had been waiting years for, and it was awesome.

My first Big Daddy that I didn't die fighting with and the music to the forest temple in OoT. That made the perfect setting in that temple.

Ocarina of Time, when you leave Kokiri Forest for the first time and you speak with Saria on that rope bridge, gets me every time.

Also the opening sequence to Final Fantasy VII, I got a 4Mb memory stick for Christmas so looking forward to downloading it and playing it on my PSP.
