I'd say the Anarch/Lone Wolf endings in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines were strangely satisfying, especially lone wolf :D

Not for being all that long or well explained, but I honestly didn't see that coming.

Ghost Trick and 999 for the DS had great endings.
Also, the ending of Limbo of the Lost. Words cannot describe it. Don't get me wrong, the game is still horrible but.. Just see for yourself.

Nothing's come close to Darksiders ending for me personally, so much badass I immediatly grew hair on my chest.

Persona 3+4 are both great.
Also getting one of the bad endings for Disgea is fucking heartbreaking because it's so easy to do and there's such a massive shift in tone.

Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days have two of my faovrite video game endings ever.

Also, Portal 2.

EDIT: The entire Metal Gear series, and the PlayStation Trilogy of Final Fantasy games.

Deus Ex - showing that being able to choose an ending regardless of how you played the game prior isn't necessarily a bad thing.

captcha - believe me.
I think the thing that's best about it is that the guy's name is JC and they've made no point of hiding the fact that he's a MessianicArchetype. One of the main themes of Christian philosophy is that there is never any point too late for redemption. Translation: Play the game how you want, you always have the choice to change. It's perfect.

Deus Ex, definitely. Each of the endings is plausible in its own way, and I find that now when I replay it I have a specific one in mind. This colors the way I play through the whole thing - the choices I make, the allegiances I put stock in, etc.

Also found FFIX's ending to be very satisfying. That game took some turns at the end that I wasn't expecting at all.

Then there's Portal - there wasn't any one thing that was brilliant about the ending, but the way the whole experience concluded left me with a huge grin on my face.

Portal 2 and inFamous 2 come to mind.
Portal 2 was simply mind-blowing. I don't think anyone was expecting it.
inFamous 2 wrapped it up very well and even had my tearing up a little.

Well first of all when you have a satisfying ending it should be one that explains everything:
IN all seriousness though Kirby 64 had a pretty damn great ending, it wasn't super big idea amazingness but it was pretty sweet on its own:

Also Shadows of The Damned had one of the greatest cliffhangers ever in my opinion, and seeing Paula... actually I won't spoil it. You'll know when you see it.

Heavy Rain. You can change the ending to suit your tastes. The happy ending, a sort of happy ending where one of the characters dies, the downer ending where everyone dies and the bad guy wins, whatever you want.
