This thread is about those heartfelt moments in gaming that managed to make you shed tears for a series of bits and bytes.

For me, I think the only time was

when Emma dies in MGS2, and when you kill the Boss in MGS4

Though the endings for 'Metal Gear Solid 3', 'Lost Odyssey' and 'Shadow of the Colossus' struck me with awe, because of their great represantation of a beautiful, bittersweet ending.

I'm not sure if anybody remembers, but in Dead or Alive 2, the scene at the opera house when the girls mother get's shot, I can't remember her name right now...

Silent Hill is a tear-jerker too...

Incredible Ending. The whole game was mind-blowing for me.

I've never cried for a game, but many scenes in Bioshock evoked strong emotions in me.

Is it any more sad than when people cry during a movie? Most games are a lot like movies, just with gameplay thrown in.

I'm quite sorry to say that I ALMOST cried in Gears 2.

I don't recall any time when I cried from sadness. I almost cried from rage playing 'I wanna be the guy.' =P
