Games that made you cry.

When I was 9 and playing SSX I lost on some level alot and began shaking the controller quite heavily until I accidently threw it on my foot and cried a little. Does that count?

Jak 2 and X because they were the only two games to piss me off so much that I was literally brought to tears. Many other games have come close but never succeded. Jak 3 came close when Damas died though.

never did cry during a game but I did get close when I was about 8 when I played FF7 through and saw aeris die for the first time.

my sister did cry when that part happened.

Fallout 3 brought a reacton out of me when

In the 3rd mission when you return to find your planet burned and theres that choral version of barber's adagio for strings as the bg music, epic epic moment. The ending sequence as well when karen sjet finally steps outta the ship pulls strings for sure.

Was the first RPG i ever played, before then ide never gotten wrapped up in a games story so much it took me completely by surprise, was crying for hours.

FFVIII-

When Rinoa is floating through space after having been possesed by Ultemecia and Squall is begging her not to give up

made me well up a fair bit.

Suikoden I & II- generally heartwrenching stories all round, major characters getting killed left right and centre, alot of single tear moments

These ones didnt make me cry as such but came damn close and are worth a mention:

If a game, or a film, or any kind of fictional storytelling has never made you cry or come close to doing so then i pity you because you either have alot of repressed emotions bottled up inside you which is a surefire path to psychological trauma, or you are sociopath who feels no emotions..... or you really havent played any good games/ seen any good films/ read any good books etc, etc....

OMFG! Why has nobody seen the darkness ending? Thats the only game that has made me cry ever. Not even a movie or tv show has made me cry.
(It's sadder if you've actually played through the game, and i recommend you do, as you can stab people with your tentacles and eat their hearts. You're the guy on my avatar btw.)

How easy the final battle was for BioShock...all that for such an easy fight!! WTF?!

Silent Hill 3 with what happened to the dad. Probably more a personal thing because I've sort of been there before. Same thing with the letter at the good end of Silent Hill 2 as well...

Also the good endding for Bioshock made me teary because it's so damn nice and beautiful.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. Was holding back tears, even though the ending was obvious to anyone who played the first.
