I know it's not out yet, but I got to play a bit of the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at PAX.

That shit is a goddamn blast.

The music in Chapter 10 of Dead Space with all the dead people with bags over their heads.

That and getting attacked while in the fucking shop with said music playing made me scared shitless.

I have to agree with most everyone here that Silent Hill 2 probably causes more brix to be shat per-minute than any other game. The whole thing is a giant Shat Brix Generator.

The Ocean View Hotel mission in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is somewhat-famous for causing extremely projectile brix-shatting. That game also has a series of missions involving an abandoned hospital that is pretty creepy just because of what it is (and because it reminds one of Silent Hill 2), and because it is inhabited by a certain cannibal who doesn't act like you'd expect her to. Which is a lot worse than if she'd just attack you.

I also nominate the now-infamous Deadly Premonition. Brix are not necessarily shat from fear because of this game (though it rips off Silent Hill enough that it might do that for you), but it certainly has the most WTF moments of any game I've played (some intentional, most accidental, all hilarious, confusing, irritating and perfect at the same time.)

The airport scene in MW2 was quite intense. Even thought It had been spoiled for me, stupid internet, I was still shocked by the brutality of it all. Also, the Regenerator from Dead Space truly freaked me the freak out.

System Shock 2. Monkeys!
PSI-MONKEY'S!!! Hated those bastards. First time I saw one I was like...ooooh nice monkey, how did you end up here, here let me gi-ARGH OW! SONUVA! *Empties what little ammo he has into the monkey*
How about the Mid-wives and the fucking spiders? And the first dream sequence with the Many.

System Shock 2 didn't scare me as much as I wanted, mostly because I hated the first 5-6 hours or so and the tech was just too old.

OT: Hmm, on shitting bricks... First encounter with a Gargantua in Half-Life and Nihilanth later on, all the zombies in Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 demo.

The hotel in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. I think I shat enough bricks to build a fortified watchtower. Also, from the same game; the house from the video tape. If you have played it you know what I mean.

Amnesia: the Dark Descent of course.
That and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. I swear to god, the mutated enemies in that are terrifying. Then again I'd say I'm a lightweight with horror games...

Those damn tunnel snakes from Dead Space. Only in-game moment to simultaneously unseat me and liquidate my bowels.

Also in Bioshock thsi one room with an operating table. You pick up a health pack from the table, turn around, and inches from your face was a Splicer.

And playing Amnesia will turn you into a brick-making factory.

For fear factor, I have to go with the original Silent Hill. Especially the first time you go to the School.
The changing pathways and creepy whispers and mechanical growling sounds combined with the occasional "Boo" scare had me at the end of my rope through the whole thing.

For just flat out intensity. Probably Bayonetta.
It's not a great game by any means and the writing is awful. But the boss encounters do a fantastic job of ramping up the spectacle until the final encounter with God...sorry "Jubileus". It's a long fight for one thing made all the more intense by the size of the enemy and the fact that you have to really bring your twitch gaming up to speed in order to dodge all the incoming attacks and still get in your hits where you can.

By the end of the last fight me hands were actually starting to ache a little bit.
