Renegade options in ME2/3 in any matter concerning the quarian admiralty board are some of my badass favourites, other renegade options are good but I personally don't find them anywhere near as rewarding.

My badass go to for gameplay is arkum asylum because let's be honest it's hard to beat the feeling you're batman.

Infamous 2 gave me deep satisfaction pushing multiple guys off of a roof top with one push, and electrocuting anyone in the water never got old, especially pushing them into the water too.
If you time it right, when an enemy ice launches you can ice launch into them and slam them with your amp. It is so unbelievably awesome.

So yeah, InFamous 2 for me too.

Batman: Arkham City was amazing on that regard. Bringing down large amounts of unarmed tugs while completely avoiding all damage is one of the best game feelings ever.

Sure it is rather easy, but oh the fun!

And then you reach The Riddle's stupid acrobatic trails...

Edit: Oh oh! I completely forgot the FEAR series! Especially the first one, such nice comments from the enemies.
Soldier one "Go get him!" Solder two "No fucking way!".

Street Fighter: Third Strike. Pulling off a combo always tickles my pants. Also, this whole match, especially the round starting at 1:27. One of the greatest comebacks ever.

Contra is also a good choice.

agreed! It's one of two games I know I can always go back to when I've played a less than satisfactory game, the other being Assassin's Creed 2.

Dead Island makes me feel both desperate and beastly. Taking down a mob with only a sliver of health left and little to no stamina makes you feel like a survivor. Taking down a charging mob of infected by severing limbs off left and right with your Machete or caving in skulls and sending enemies back with a sledgehammer without taking any damage makes you feel beastly. Than as a bonus when your playing with a friend and are effectively wading through mobs you feel like a well oiled killing machine, in short the game gives a great sense of brutality.

Prototype is a good candidate but you never really feel like your enemies are on par with you like Dead Island. So it comes off more like the character itself is a beast rather than you the player.

Many many people here hitting the 'badass' angle, very few with the 'good' ending. Although I clearly didn't explain myself well, good didn't mean quality, it meant happy or positive.

Space Marine sounds a good bet though, the demo was pretty fun. Does it have a depressing ending?

Dark Souls.
SO MUCH DARK SOULS.
Killing a hundred foot monstrosity or an armored demon or some other AMAZINGLY designed boss leaves you feeling like the most badass of all the badasses.
Example as follows... (Don't worry, the only spoiler would be knowing what this boss looks like!)

I think the Saints Row games are pretty good at making you feel like a badass. It's so easy to get the Kobra and infinite pistol ammo in 2 so you can pretty much mow mofo's down forever. 3 has really cool weapons and loads of destruction. They're all really awesome games.

Batman: Arkham Asylum. Nothing feels better than swooping down on some poor unsuspecting henchman whilst screaming "I'M BATMAAAAAN" and incurring at least six noise complaints from the neighbours.

I'd say Crysis 2. Jumping off a building onto an enemy, punching his mate, sprinting toward a machine-gun nest, leaping over the barricade, throwing a grenade mid-flight, sliding beneath a lorry and hearing the grenade go off. Friggen awesome.

Most recently, The Darkness II made me feel like a badass and, well, it had a (sorta) happy ending.

From the games I've played recently, gotta say Dark So-

Ninjas, they're everywhere...

Yeah, got to agree with this guy here. When I finally defeated Sif yesterday, I felt great. And I also took down Ouelaag or whatever her name was on my first try. Made me feel like a man.

Saint's Row 3- incendiary rounds + Skull face paint makes me wanna quote Oppenheimer in a death growl!

Also pretty much any good, M-rated hack-and-slash

I know that feel, bro. I saw the dude at E3 struggling with the armored tusk, and when I killed it on the first try... it was great...

This next bout is 5 rounds for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship!

5 rounds to win by a decision(unanimous 29-28 scores) in what was a back and forth all out war is an amazing feeling. Especially when you're looking at a well rounded fighter with knockout power that keeps avoiding your clench strikes and isn't a candidate for a judo throw. He destroyed me in rounds 1 and 2. 3 was all me. 4 was a stalemate and 5 was back and forth.

I feel like I earned every tiny bit of that virtual title.
