Games that make you feel like a total badass

The usual sandbox "f stuff up" games - GTA, Red Faction, etc etc.

Batman: AA. Nothing like destroying a whole room of lunatics without them so much as touching you.

And also, Cooking Mama. I have my reasons.

I have to say, definitly Prototype. Ahh the days of running around Times Square with a taxi on my shoulders watching as the limp, lifeless forms of innocent pedestrians soared over my head.

Prototype. I let a friend of mine play it for a sec and pretty much all he did was run along sidewalks full of pedestrians with the shield in front of him, laughing hysterically as they flew off each side of the screen. That's only one thing, of course, but it's a great example of how much of a jerk Prototype lets you be.

It's already been said many times but both God of War games and Batman: Arkham Asylum are my favorite "I'm-a-badass" games.

Anyways, I've practically memorized the layout of ALL of Half-Life 2, so I know exactly what to do, when to look up, and generally have an omniscient advantage. It makes me feel invincible.

Falcon 4.0: Allied Force - There is nothing on earth more badass than landing an F-16 that has been shot full of holes, is running on the EPU (Emergency Power Unit), is completely out of fuel, and has minimal hydraulics. It's one of those, "Holy shit! I am a god!" moments.

I skidded to a stop, poped the canopy, paused the simulation, and got myself a beer. I had earned it.

And then got back to flying again?

Yep! I hopped into a different plane (beer in hand) and successfully engaged three Mig-21s!

OTHER THAN GTA IV. Half-Life 2, I remember shooting the combine with a turrit and running them over with a power cruiser thingy.

From the very begining you can throw a TANK at a HELICOPTER and vice versa. Really, try it. Now.

Furthermore, everything else about the game makes you feel like an overpowered badass. I love it.

Burnout 3: Takedown.

Nothing says badass like nudging an opponent into a head-on crash with a petrol-tanker semi-trailer, only to watch them explode in glorious slow motion.

Also, the 'crash' mode is awesome.

Saint's Row 2. Nothing makes my balls feel quite as big as they do when I'm beating gangbangers to death with a sledgehammer while controlling the body of an elderly Guy Ritchie-esque British mobster. Except maybe playing as Krauser or any form of Wesker in the "Mercenaries" mini-games of RE4 and RE5. Far Cry: Instincts is pretty good at that, too.

Shadow Complex makes you feel like a badass about 186% of the time. Seriously, breaking the sound barrier, running up a wall, moving to the ceiling, slamming down in a group of three guards, meleeing two of them, and finishing by shot gunning the remaining one.
