Kingdom Hearts. Some of the cutscenes between Square an Disney characters can be... awkward, at best. Plus, if someone walks into the room, I get pretty embarrassed at the cheesy jokes they make.

Manhunt, it just rubs me wrong the sheer number of violent deaths you can inflict.

For me, it's Half-Life 2. Don't get me wrong, I really like it, and it's a fantastic game, but...I dunno, when I play it something just doesn't feel right. Was that intended? Maybe it's the headcrabs...

So, what games make you feel uncomfortable when you play them?
I agree with you thee; the Orwellian imagery and themes, combined with the vague, but personal narrative, definitely has an unsettling effect.

final fantasy X-2. its not that bad a game, but i'll never play it with my mum waching over my shoulder again :S
I was about to say Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, but you're right. This game is about as devoid of masculinity and any redeeming value whatsoever. Goes great with that My Little Pony collection... eh....

The original Silent Hill, when walking through the Dark School with no light except for the flashlight. When the Grey Children start attacking, I swear it sounds like they're saying "Momma". Creepy as hell!!

Walking down that underground lab corridor to get to the surface when you turn around and "the controller" warps your vision. :S
That among many other things. STALKER makes me feel powerless which, in a video game, is a strange, unnerving experience.

Final Fantasy X.

The infamous "laughing scene". Imagine watching that with a family member in the room. I don't think any other video game has ever made me that uncomfortable.

Oblivion

Where you have to kill the old lady living by herself in the middle of nowhere on a tiny little farm. Then steal her birthday gift list. Then use it to track down and kill her family.

It's just... wrong.
that wasn't too bad for me but after I came back to play with the corpse and the ghost attacked because there was no idication of any enemy nearby ...

Team Fortress 2.

How you may ask? Well how does your spinal column feel after you've been sitting still for 17 hours in an epic Mario Kart session?

But I finally got a hat...

Could you both provide a youtube link or something to these things? I've played both games but it's been a long while and I don't remember them.

NO MORE HEROES: Each time you fight a boss you are literally facing off against a symbol of American Culture, it just made you feel fucked up, especially at the ending which literally sets you down to the level of those who youve killed with a HUGE wake up call....coming from my remote o_o

In Condemned 2 when you walk into the room and see a maniquin standing in front of you by itself. You turn left and now there is one to your left. You turn right, there is one to your right. Turn right around and you are surrounded by them, all staring at you with their lifeless eyes. Then the lights flicker on and off and they are gone. That made my flesh crawl.
