Oblivion

Where you have to kill the old lady living by herself in the middle of nowhere on a tiny little farm. Then steal her birthday gift list. Then use it to track down and kill her family.

It's just... wrong.
That was one of the most annoying quests.
A word of advice: Make sure you kill her with your first swing.......that ***** can run. Fast.

HL2 gives me an odd feeling when I play it as well. I think its the G-Man thing, there's definitely a sense of paranoia going on.

I'd like to think I don't get bothered easily, but that Modern Warfare 2 mission in the airport made me slightly sick. In a good way though, I applaud Infinity Ward for pushing the boundaries.

In Oblivion where you had to kill a house full of people including a little old lady, without them finding out who was doing it, cluedo style.

It was especially hard since the old lady kept saying things like "You'll protect me from the killer, won't you?"

In the end I had to convince one of the other npc's to kill her, because I couldn't.

The only game I've ever put down and stopped playing out of fear:
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Damn you, Silicon Knights. One day I will have my revenge, just let me get a new pair of pants, first.

It made me feel uncomfortable when I played the demo of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, as stated in my thread. It's really dorky...it sounds badass, but they all look like they're going to an anime convention but they are more idiotic looking than any of the cosplayers. At least cosplayers can pull off looking good!

Though you'd think that I would feel awkward playing the TCG-based "Neverland Card Battles" around people, but it's one of those games that feels natural.

Yea, what about the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary purification quest

"Why brother... Why?!?"

Brought a tear to my eye when I had to slay that giant loveable ogre.

Or how bout the Khajitt who finally appoligized for being such a dick?

Man, that quest was hard to complete

Mass Effect It was pretty akward before you hit Ios (however you spell it) and i really hoped no one would come into the room
But the gamer point made it all worth it

I remember that one. I went around and attacked each one once, then fought them all to the death as a group.

I thought that they deserved to be able to face me. They were above a simple sneak and stab in their sleep.

Live as assassins, die as warriors.
I couldn't take it. I tried sneak killing or poisoning all of them.

The Ork woke up after I hit him. the first blow didn't kill him.

It saddened me greatly

Rule of Rose

one of my all time favorite games but the many subtle undertones to pedophia and other weird shit really makes me feel uncomfortable sometimes. Thankfully it's done in good tastes and the story is phenomenal.
Seconded. Rule of Rose is a very bizarre, surreal and disturbing title (the boss battles in particular send shivers down my spine). Despite the gameplay being atrocious, the atmosphere and the f-ed up story were real gems.

Manhunt made feel uncomfortable. I think it was during the tutorial where I killed a guy by placing a bag over his head. I'm no Puritan when it comes to violence, but that one made me feel a little sick.

Yeah, my bad, just saw a thread about it.
What do you mean you couldn't fire your gun the entire level? they won't allow us or we won't want to?

This was the same for me. I always like to try and immerse myself in games if I can. If I play a mage I will act like a mage, if I play a 'good guy' I will choose the nice dialogue options. However whilst playing this game I started to think as if I were the main character in the game and all I wanted to do was get the 'good' deaths such as the plastic bag over the head and stab them in the eyeball.

I have never come accross a game like it since. I've played a few creepy games but never one that made me feel as dirty as that. Once you get access to guns in the game it loses a bit of it's chilling factor. But the start where you get voices in your head telling you to 'STAB THAT DAMN FUCK IN THE FACE!!' is just brutal.

Well I consider myself a man of strong will, but I still can't sit Resident Evil 1, apart from the fact that the difficulty of the english version is awful, the music, the pace, the sounds...... it scarred me for a good 3 years.

InFamous, just because of any sequence with Sasha in it. It was really awkward, especially when my parents were in the room.

final fantasy X-2. its not that bad a game, but i'll never play it with my mum waching over my shoulder again :S
I can only imagine what was going through her head. That game is only a few steps down from eroge.

Edit: Also, welcome to the Escapist. Stick to the rules and no one gets hurt. Enjoy your stay! (Cool Vivi icon)
True, I felt A bit wrong playing a game which is mostly fan service, felt like I was watching a bad anime.
