I just bought a FFB steering wheel for my PC, and I already had a dual-shock controller for Virtua Soccer and Sensible Soccer, so no.

Although I can play them perfectly fine with a standard controller, there are times where while playing WipEout/WipEout XL/Wip3out on the PS1 I wish I had one of these:

After playing Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, I had an unspeakable desire to play the other ones on the Wii. I don't know about you, but I thought playing Metroid Prime with the Wiimote was a great deal of fun.

I used to pay Star wars battlefront 2 on the PS2 obsessively. Now that I have it on the computer, I hate using my keyboard. So hard >_<
this. on the ps2 i had over a 45 k/d ratio (literally, from start to finish of when i got rid of it) and i tried playing it on the pc and i dont even have half the skill i did before... (and yes, i turned stupid aim assist off, that shit threw me off so much on the ps2..)

otherwise it depends game to game, i love some of the snap functions that rpg's do with controllers but they dont get as many key combinations so it has its trade offs...so generally i can use both pretty well but some games suck nutz at with either or

oh and in the last game informer or whatever the ultimate controller is definitly the best idea in a long time

360's joysticks and triggers. check.
ps3's d-pad. check
a controller that fits to actual fucking hands and doesn't require awkward holding. check.
2-4 buttons underneath controller for middle or ring finger use. check.
on screen display for stats and health or soundtrack.check.

beast as fuck controller
