Because video-games based on movies always kick ass, right?

Just like movie adaptions of books.
Or being stabbed in the neck.
are you saying riddick, spiderman 2, and X-men origins sucked?
Not if you're a 6 year old and said games are your first experience of gaming. But yes, they are TERRIBLE games adapted from TERRIBLE movies

Well, if any game franchise COULD have a POTENTIALLY good movie tie in, it would have to be the Metal Gear franchise. You see, when you make a movie based off of a video game, you remove the one quality that made the game great, interactivity. Seeing as the Metal Gear series is infamous for it's long cutscenes, one could say that the movies already been done for you.

Personally, I think Video Games and Hollywood need to stop this on-again, off-again relationship!

Most of the fun things in life do.

...By which I mean killing.
Killing is the only fun thing in life.
I gathered that.

It's best to be creative with such matters.
Thrust my hands into the throat, tear out the bottom end of the jugular, and feed it back through their mouth... one of my personal favourites, the death-loop ^_^

If they could somehow cram GTA 4 into a two hour movie I think that would be great.
A game that should NEVER EVER be made into a movie?? Mercenaries 2.

I'd say Metal Gear Solid, since I'd love to play some games about those movies.

*sigh* Maybe they'll never happen...
i think the problem with that is the fact that there is so much story that even if the movie was 3 hours they would have to cut sooooo much out of it, that it would loose all appeal

I agree, it seems in the end the movie can come down to two possible idea/inspirations/blahbla
either they made it for the fans of the movie or make a movie with a script that?s already been written and done.

granted that it mutilated the story so badly that i can't tell if its and game and if the drive down to the morgue was all that necessary (GO METAPHOR, I CHOOSE YOU)but Hitman did it mediocre, if they didn?t change 47's whole back story and made a plot which made no sense at all, it still had ago at making a movie which appealed to both sides, movie goers and gamers, although they failed miserably at this, its still a good kind of movie when you have nothing to do and you watch it to pass the time.

oh yea was I the only person to have a laugh at that coin joke in the movie?

i call the medapod joke! if it catches on it started here!! lol

You almost made me cry.
If the movie is made by the developers of the game, it could be good. You know, like a huge cutscene. The intro cutscene to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon was way better than the movies.
