No game needs a sequel unless they company designed the game with have sequel's in mind. Just making a sequel to a game because it was good and made good money is bad.

Don't know why, the original could have been longer but it was underrated.

Well, if Wikipedia is to be trusted (which I'm sure it isn't), then Michel Ancel wanted the game to be the beginning of a continuing franchise, so the length may have been the result of the game being only the first installment.

Being underrated, however, I can't justify.
