I got the idea from seeing the other topic, about games that didn't need a sequel.

Note: This thread contains Spoilers. Read at your own risk.

KotOR deserves a third installment, I just don't think that SW:TOR will be as fulfulling.

Although I don't think that this needs a sequel, it would be interesting to see a GTA IV sequel about Roman's child, as well as give us a solid idea of whether Roman or Kate died.

Skies of Arcadia. It doesn't have to follow Vyse or that group of Blue Rouges, but the world is big enough, and there might be an interesting prequel or sequel that can be made from that world.

Bomberman. I don't want his last major console release to be Act Zero. Bomberman was too big a part of my childhood on the SNES and N64 to go out like THAT...

Megaman. Megaman 11 plz.

No games need sequels. Sorry, but that's my opinion. Unless they set out with a full story in mind and decided from day one, or at least during the development of the first game, there is no reason to drag things out. Mass Effect deserves sequels, because they were planned. Bioshock did not deserve a sequel, because they were just grabbing for cash.

I know, this mindset means that technically Portal 2 shouldn't exist, and Portal 2 was great, but I still think that no games *need* sequels unless they were planned from the beginning.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth needs a sequel. Sadly, the compnay went bankrupt before they started working on the sequel, and even before they finished the PC version of the game.

Duke Nukem Forever, that way we can all wait another decade and a half waiting for it. It should be called, Duke Nukem Anticipation!

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of the Roses.

All the problems in this game were plainly obvious and easy to fix, not to mention the game sold great. Why did they not make a sequel?

Same here, but i think some games deserve an spiritual successor, such as Bioshock was for System Shock [sub]what a shock...[/sub].

The elder scrolls is a series that i enjoy, each game is its own contained story, but with a shared universe.

I'll second Enslaved, I also wouldn't mind seeing another SW:Battlefront game and a sequel for Eternal Darkness.

Are you sure? I am pretty certain I played that game on the PC as I never owned an Xbox.

It was really cool, yes, though the addition of guns didn't do the game very well, I'm afraid. In a sequel, that could be fixed, and afaik, Bethesda still has the rights, so maybe...

I think you're a bit over-reacting. Yeah, a lot of times a game is made with a nice good ending that everyone loves and then the game's developers decide "Hey! That game made us a hell of a lot of money! Let's make a sequel!" and it often goes badly. This isn't necessarily the case for everything and you shouldn't put every sequel down. Just accept that obviously, if a game makes money, the developers will probably make a sequel. Sometimes sequels can end up wonderful, others end up horrible. Just stop complaining and if you don't like a game, don't play it. If you play it and don't like it, take it back. If you play it on the PC and can't take it back because stores are evil and don't like you taking their games back, then burn it! That's what I did with The Force Unleashed II and I enjoyed every second of the burning, far more than the game.
