I could not agree more, although there is one flaw that comes to mind with that, and it's name is 'Too Human'. They had planned for a trilogy and set the ending up for it and it was quite a terrible game.Funk Engine said:No games need sequels. Sorry, but that's my opinion. Unless they set out with a full story in mind and decided from day one, or at least during the development of the first game, there is no reason to drag things out. Mass Effect deserves sequels, because they were planned. Bioshock did not deserve a sequel, because they were just grabbing for cash.
I know, this mindset means that technically Portal 2 shouldn't exist, and Portal 2 was great, but I still think that no games *need* sequels unless they were planned from the beginning.
I think Redemption needs a Prequel. I wanna know how John was in his gang. Or maybe a DLC on what Jack did from 1911 to 1914.ZeroMachine said:Ah, good, someone else covered it for me. Now, as for my list:
Alan Wake
Mirror's Edge
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Maybe Red Dead Redemption, about what his son did (maybe he goes to war?)
Metroid Prime 3, so they can deliver on their secret ending cliffhanger
Halo 3 (and ODST so we can see what happens to that team)
Halo Wars (I want to know what happened to the Spirit of Fire)
Any other games I feel deserve sequels are definitely getting them, so there we go.
Agreed. They were great.Grickit said:The Battlefront series. Everyone loves them. The first two were best sellers. It's only had crappy handheld versions for the past half a decade.
Indeed, maybe we'll see it now they finished with Portal 2.Tompalompa said:Half life 2 episode 2
