Metroid Fusion needs a sequel.

one that has Ridley. but the real Ridley.

also made by nintendo. and a sidescroller. for handheld (probably 3DS- but if so, it shouldn't force the 3D on ya.)

... well, that's what i want at least.

DUNGEON KEEPER, DUNGEON KEEPER, DUNGEON KEEPER.

The world needs more Dungeon Keeper.

...I was going to say 'the world needs more Horny', but I thought better of it.

[small]Oh, wait.[/small]
This. A thousand times this.

Along with Starcraft, Dungeon Keeper is one of the VERY few RTS games I really enjoyed. I think it's mostly because you can recruit enemies to your side (by torturing them) and even take control of your monster's minds to wade into battle yourself. How many RTS games let you get right in the mix like that?

...okay, Brutal Legend, but that game sucked.

Also, a Bayonetta sequel would be nice.

Half life 2 EP 2, valve need to stop messing about and finish the plot.
KOTOR 2, needs to finish the whole storyline one way or another, Im sure TOR will be a excellent MMO but its set way after the KOTOR storyline so there is room to finish it.

Jedi knight series.
Republic commando.

I would really like to se a sequel to mirrors edge!
EA announced that they were cancelling the sequel already in development, because the first game didn't get enough money to risk a sequel. The decided to turn the entire studion towards BF3.
They announced afterward that they didn't actually cancel it.
Ah, good, someone else covered it for me. Also, your avatar? Amazing.

Now, as for my list:

Alan Wake
Mirror's Edge
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
Maybe Red Dead Redemption, about what his son did (maybe he goes to war?)
Metroid Prime 3, so they can deliver on their secret ending cliffhanger
Halo 3 (and ODST so we can see what happens to that team)
Halo Wars (I want to know what happened to the Spirit of Fire)

Any other games I feel deserve sequels are definitely getting them, so there we go.
I think Redemption needs a Prequel. I wanna know how John was in his gang. Or maybe a DLC on what Jack did from 1911 to 1914.
O_O

Yeah, do want. Both of those.

Advent Rising had a serious sequel tease at the end. I found out that there are also comics on the series, and they may or may not continue the story, but I really enjoyed the game and I'd like to see another one.

Also, Muramasa: The Demon Blade. This game had two big sequel teases, and they both looked awesome, but Kisuke's third ending made me begin to think they were just there to fuck with me. I'd really like to see a continuation of either of those stories, though.

No games need sequels.
This isn't entirely true, sequels can capture the vision that the first game failed to grasp or realise fully and can expand further on a rich original universe such as Fallout's.

Prince of Persia 2008.
It wasn't as good as Sands of Time no, but apart from the ending it was quite enjoyable.
I even bought the epilogue to see if they'd tie it up better, and they did in a way, the Prince convinced me that a sequel could work, just in time for the angry fan base to convince them to never make that sequel. =(
They could have made the combat better and removed the auto-life if people gave them a chance.
They could at least patch the game to include a second ending, it would only take a little time considering the simplicity of the one proposed.
Walking out of the desert instead of breaking the seals, play credits.
Accepting her wishes and learning from her father's mistakes.
It would be a bad ending, a thousand years will pass and the evil will rise again with no one left to stop it, but it would have spoke more of their narrative prowess to give the choice.

Maybe they could also add one voice acted line explaining his viewpoint in the epilogue.
"1000 years from now there will be no one left to stop him when he returns... 1000 years of peace...
It doesn't matter if it's worth it, this is what she wanted."

One of the few games I can think of that absolutely without doubt or counter *needs* a sequel with it's current ending.

Edit: Oh yes, also, Alan Wake but I'm sure that one doesn't need me to defend it.

Indeed, maybe we'll see it now they finished with Portal 2.

Also Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Gods I'd love me some more Bloodlines with all of their Masquerades.

I don't think it necessarily "needs" a sequel as it's pretty self contained but I'll give my left leg if that would bring the developers back with unlimited resources for some serious new stories and more polished final product.
Then we just need a comprehensive tool set for fans to make it last all eternity.

Staw Wars Republic Commando!

or at least a remake, that game was awesome
I really would like to see this aswell, it was such a fun game.

Also i'd love to see a sequel to Vampire the masquerade: bloodlines,
some of the possible endings were rather open.
Not to mention all the minor events in the game that you never really get to see the ending of.

EDIT: Darn it someone beat me to it.

I got the idea from seeing the other topic, about games that didn't need a sequel.

Note: This thread contains Spoilers. Read at your own risk.

KotOR deserves a third installment, I just don't think that SW:TOR will be as fulfulling.

Although I don't think that this needs a sequel, it would be interesting to see a GTA IV sequel about Roman's child, as well as give us a solid idea of whether Roman or Kate died.
"Shadow the Hedgehog 2"! Dehehehehe... no, seriously, I loved that game more than any "official" Sonic game out there... and I've played ALL.
