Mass Effect would be pretty epic, maybe they could actually portray the baddies as a threat this time.
Plus the tits and asses hang out as it is already.

Well actually they should do one of everything, why the heck not.

Alot of the above answers are good. To it, I will add a funny reversal and say that Megas XLR needs to have a GAME made out of it.

And now, for a list of games that should have anime.

The original Phantasy Star saga, start to finish.
Comix Zone.
Parasite Eve.
Dark Cloud.
The Thing. (Yes, I mean John Carpenter's game.)
Extermination (but possibly voice acted better).
Megaman X.
Shadowrun (Snes AND Sega version).
The original Persona, with Snow Queen Quest OVAs.
A Twisted Metal movie.
A Jet Moto movie.
A Blast Chamber movie.
An animation of Mogworld with Yahtzee voice-acting Jim.

I love you. Especially YOU.

OT: I was thinking a killer7 anime, but the story is all contained within it?s own convoluted walls.
However, if suda 51 made a similar sort of story with the same sort of neo-noir plot, and the same sort of action and humor, then it would be more that a cult classic!

Title says it all. Are there any games that you guys think would make a perfect anime adaptation? We've seen it done in the past (some bad, some good), and it seems it is happening more and more these days.

I personally cast my vote in for a BlazBlue anime, its a perfect fit: anime archetypal characters, convoluted plot, a vampire with white hair and a red jacket and a fantasy/sci-fi world that has already been rendered beautifully in an anime style.

Can you guys think of any others?
I'd agree with a BlazBlue anime as long as it wasn't the same animation team that did the intro (at least to the first BB). The intro just looks badly animated to me.

Also, I think a WoW anime would work well if done right. It's already cartoonish though so maybe it should be done in western-animation instead.

Phoenix Wright. Heavy rain. Although either of those might work better as live action. Maybe even movies. Persona 4. Yes I know its already getting an anime, I just think it should have two shows and a movie. Its my favorite game. I would kind of like to see portal as a silent film. I think that could work really well.Zelda if you keep link mute, or at least someone who does not talk much and has a good voice actor. I think katamari would work well. Obviously shadows of colossus and ico. Bioshock would make a good movie. Eternal Darkness. Xenosage and metal gear solid for something, I dont know what. Id like to see final fantasy but i dont think that would work well. Okami. The phoenix wright professor Layton game. Chrono trigger. Chrono Cross. Im gonna stop there.

I'm just gonna say Bioshock... It could be a sort of Elfen Lied like anime, all dark and depressing (and awesome!)

Maybe it follows the Little Sisters and their adventures through Rapture...

Yeah riiight the first Space Marine that starts whining like Shinji from NGE will get tried for heresy. That would be awful as the universe is entirely far to dark and gritty and not ambiguously gay enough. I can see it now all the Space Marines turning in to fancy little ladyboys. I'm sorry no one would EVER consider space marines pretty.
I counter with:

But that wouldn't be a fair trade off for the over sexualization and other things that make anime borderline unbearable.
Obviously u have no idea what you are talking about.

Final Fantasy 6 should be in the works anyway ~ looking forward to that.
Star Craft would propably do well.
Ace Combat - Area 88 had a great following and a fairly successfull remake, so could fly as well.
Hitman - Worked as a western blockbuster -possibly a crossover with Golgo13 ?
Armored Core - You can never have enough good mecha series.
Remember that thing in Naruto where Naruto, a 13 year old boy could change into a naked woman when he wanted? Stop being offended whenever someone doesn't like anime.

Here's a novel idea : Don't make an assumption about something based on ONE item alone.
You just stated "Anime is bad because I don't understand Naruto"
Thats like saying - Movies are bad, just look at how awefull "the Room" is.

It is one thing to say "I don't like anime, I don't get the culture behind it." and another "Anime is bad because it's weired."

Take a look at animes like "Now and then, here and there", Bakemonogatari or tokyo magnitude 8 and you'll see that you can't judge the whole genre by a sub genre aimed at teenage boys.

You made an assumption based on one "item" alone. I've seen old animes such as Tenshi-no. I've seen a bit of Inuyasha, and a few others. And Spirited Away happens to be one of my favourite movies, even though it has a bit of what's inherently bad about anime. God this is getting tiring.

None of them? Sure anime can make the games world a bit more story based (Such as that Halo one). But that wouldn't be a fair trade off for the over sexualization and other things that make anime borderline unbearable.
EXACTLY

Anime adaptations for the majority of the things mentioned above (Warhammer 40k? Lolwut) would be nothing but a bad thing.
Really? It would be so because you'd like to stereotype all anime based on a few shows? Thats nice.

And Warhammer 40K is basically the perfect game series for an anime. As long as the producer was willing to listen to Games Workshop and Games Workshop was willing to not have to control everything, a Warhammer 40K anime would be absolutely beautiful. And cheaper and easier to make than another CGI movie or live-action series.
If an anime version of some sort of setting, movie, game or whatever was made, what would most likely happen?
Everything would most likely be virtually unrecognisable from the inital product. Whatever visual quality the original thing had will be downgraded significantly (if it had visual non-live action aspects) and a lot of things would be changed from their original designs (Halo Legends, oh my fuck, Halo Legends).
And this isn't even considering other things which are so prevalent they are essentially a widely recognised staple of anime, like bright striking colours, shitloads of misplaced visual effects, the whole '1st person voice' thing, random pauses and just other aspects of it you'd expect.
And THEN that's still not taking into account that the original basis could be twisted and mutilated significantly from what it's supposed to be. However this might not necessarily be such a bad thing (but usually is) and isn't exclusive to anime adaptations.

There is no way in hell I'd want that to happen to my favourite films, books, games, tv shows, etc.

I'm not douchebagishly hating on anime, I'm being realistic. While anime not based on something can be pretty cool, if it is there will likely be a lot of detriments due to such an awkward change, especially in a setting like 40k.
Think of it this way, if an action movie of another form of media were announced, you'd automatically expect gunfights, car chases, cardboard characters, little emphasis on plot and a pretty standard good guys vs bad guys scenario.

While there can be exceptions, this is probably what it would be like.

The Mega Man Legends trilogy. Those games already LOOK like anime, so why not?

Besides: Two of the games came out on the late PS1 a dog's age ago, ONE of them was ported to the N64, and if the third one ever gets uncancelled it's headed straight for the 3DS. An anime adaptation would be a great way to make the COMPLETE story easily available to a large audience!

I think the Legacy of Kain series would lend itself quite well to an anime adaptation.

HA! You're a funny guy! also...

Final Fantasy. Not one singular one either but something to tie them all together or, an anime miniseries based around characters, themes, etc from the existing 14 (or many many more considering the multiple spin-offs) There are a shit-load of Final Fantasy based opportunities! Hell, it's already happened twice. How about Final Fantasy: I want to be your Canary? Final Fantasy: SEED? Final Fantasy: Moogle Chronicles? The sky's the limit!

Someones already said it but Persona, either 3 or 4 both are good. Also maybe Metal Gear with David Hayter as Snake.
