My cousin and I add this conversation a while ago. He responded with "Um... Resident Evil?". After I explained to him that the movies were based on the games, he admitted that all movie based games are indeed crap.

Advent Rising. I don't even know where to begin... oh yeah, the part early in the game where I saved my girlfriend - NOT MY BROTHER - and yet he's the one who ends up in the escape pod after the cutscene, miraculously alive and well. Then there are all the bugs, the collision detection problems, the tedious story...

Crap. I feel dirty for ever having played it.

Chronicles of Riddick was good, and it was loosely based on a movie, thought I don't know how much that counts.

Untrue. The Thing, Goldeneye, Tie Fighter, SW: Battlefront, Chronicles of Riddick, Spiderman 2...Granted they're in the minority.

Statistically, with the amount of Star Wars games on the market currently, there had to be at least one good franchise release.

Actually, have you seen any of the PS2 version? The graphics are shittier than it's predecessor, awful pop in and a shitload of glitches, how is the PS2 version better than the 360 one? And also, the PS3 and 360 versions were exactly the same.

I didn't think it was poor quality, it was good, not as good as GTA, but good, I think his point here is that: Once the story was over, there really wasn't much to do, and the city just wasn't that much fun.

My vote would have to be for Dark Summit...what a piece of shit that was. If you've never played this game or even heard of it, consider yourself lucky.

I actually liked Dark Summit. Mine would have to be Just Cause because it mentions a very large open world but 99% of it is similar looking dense jungle-like areas. Everything you attempt to do doesn't work like it should and it's just an exercise in controller-snapping frustration.
