Dino Crisis 2, left this big unanswered question that would have made a great sequel, and it never got touched. And if you ever played that abomination they called Dino Crisis 3, I am very sorry for your loss.

This terrific game takes place in a post apocolyptic world that has moved past humanity. The world is grown over with vegetation. It looks very different than something like, say, Fallout 3.

Great characters and gameplay (though you wonder why Monkey never twists that girl's head off if he has an opportunity. He seems glad to be enslaved at points. And she did the enslaving.

Ends abruptly. Shoulda had a sequel.

While it didn't technically have a sequel "set up" for continuation in the original game, but Steambot Chronicles.

It was gonna have a sequel on the PS3, BUT IT WAS F!@#ING CANCELED. It would have been a system seller for me, honestly. I mean I got SO excited for it, but it was CANCELED.

The way the slave collar was set up was so that if she died, he died, thus forcing him to keep her alive.

On Topic, I would like to second Psi Ops, fun gameplay, entertaining villains, and then you get to that ending with no closure whatsoever.

Doesn't explain his enthusiasm:

No one mentioned MML3?

Canceled all because Capcom wants to appease the CoD crowd with RE6 AKA "CoD's Zombie mode for $60"

This... the story was wrapped, sorta. But the world was potentially huge and the conclusion leaves plenty of room for a sequel with a new protagonist to find out what happened to Ashley.

At least give us a port Square!

I never played it but Too Human was an archetypal example of this. Yahtzee's review of it remains one of my favorite ZP's of all time.

I remember reading somewhere that when the company that made Too Human went down the game itself became 'illegal' to sell or something. So not only is it not going to get a sequel but the original game is being wiped out of existence.

Ouch! Even for a sucky game that's gotta hurt!
I was going to mention that. Too Human was set up to be a trilogy even I think and the premise sounds amazing. And then it bombed. And I mean BOMBED.

Crysis? Crysis 2 wasn't the sequel anyone was expecting. Nah, mostly Freespace 2 and System Shock 2, although I have made peace with the end of System Shock 2. The sting works as an ending for me, and I don't want a third game now. I do still want Freespace 3 though...

A proper sequel to Prince of Persia (2008), I still don't get why people didn't like that game it was at least better than Warrior Within. It had well developed characters but then it just ended on such a downer note and seeing as Ubisoft is just releasing Assassins Creed over and over again we'll probably never see another Prince of Persia game again or at least for a long time, I mean they have to reboot again eventually isn't that like the law of video games now or is that just movies?

A new Dark Cloud game would also be nice though that never really set itself up for a sequel.

PoP 2008 had terrible gameplay outside jumping around . It was a very pretty game , and the characters were likable , but the game was basically "collect all glowin balls " , a giant fetch quest if you will. I wouldn't mind a sequels as long as they don't do that again .

OT: Xenosaga . There were suppose to be 6 . We only got three . I want more !

Capcha : Less is more . What are you trying to tell me?

As has been mentioned a few times, Psi-Ops. The game was a ton of fun, and ended with a blatant sequel bait, not really closing any plot points or resolving anything. We could really use another game like it, as it was quite unique.

Why did you remind of this? WHY?!

On another note, KOTOR II. TOR basically just went "We're not going to tell you WHAT happened, only that you failed." Thanks Bioware...

Mirror's Edge. I know that there's apparently a sequel in the works but I've lost all faith in EA.

Other than that, it's just generic stuff. Psychonauts, Enslaved, HL3 etc.
