I'd love to see refined versions of Fallout 3 and Oblivion. I rant about how bad they are more than i should; they're potentially awesome but Bethesda just need a hand with a few things.

And Croc for the PS1. Amazing game, but the controls put all other things to waste (among a few minor flaws). Give it better controls and fix the easy to correct flaws and the game would be bumped up to 9/10.

I think the Heretic series would make a really good reboot if done right...

Actually, I Have, I Meant Cause They've Released Like 3 Later Ones With No Actual Zombies, The 'P****d Off Natives Was Refering To R.E 5.
Ah I see what you mean now. Your initial post was a bit ambiguous - I thought you were implying that it was RE:N that had the 'pissed off natives'.

Generally I don't like remakes, but I think Fire Emblem Gaiden could be good remake material. It's an old NES strategy rpg released only in japan. This game could really use an official english translation as well as better menus/UI/graphics.

I think that Crash Bandicoot should be remade. He's my favourite videogame character and he deserves a proper send off.

Maybe combine 1, 2 & 3 into an epic, orange marsupial firing wumpa fruit out of a bazooka, platforming perfection

Does no one use the search bar?

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, the Legacy of Kain series!

Update the game play, remove some of the bugs but for gods sake leave the story alone and you'd have an awesome remade series.

Final fantasy 7, the fans will finaly die happy and shut up.
You sure about that? They'll add/change story elements to suit all the frigging spin offs over the years. You won't be able to rename anyone because they will have voices, and I don't want to put up with having to imagine Barrets voice as anyone other then Mr T.

They'd probably change the combat too, mess with the Materia system and change the way most things look.

Tell me the fans wouldn't ***** about it.

Half Life in the Source Engine.
What, update the meshes? Half Life: Source is on Steam.

OT: I would play anything even remotely based on Planescape: Torment. Actually, I'm going to install the original on my comp right now with a bunch of patches and mods to bring up the resolution.

That privateer game spoony likes. That looks fun but it would never play on my newfangled tech.
Are you talking about Wing Commander Privateer? Because there IS a remake for that, I don't remember its name now, but it's out there. In fact, I'm going to look for it right now, thanks for the reminder (I used to love that game back in the day).

OT, I believe the only wortwhile remakes are those of old games, and I mean really old, like Atari-old, or at least NES-old. Anything newer than that can be played in its original state and it will be much more satisfactory than a remake. Unless the original can't be played in modern computers, as is the case with the aforementioned Privateer.

That said, I've been waiting for years now for a Jungle Hunt or a Frontline remake...

I hope for the love of Eris no one ever does that, at least not with the first Blood Omen. That game is just perfect, anything they change in it will be a downgrade. I'll stay with the original, thank you.

But a remake of Soul Reaver with today's graphics and a few (VERY few) gameplay tweaks... It would be a perfect excuse to replay SR for the umpteenth time.
