Resident Evil 1 & 2 in the RE 4 style (I am not saying that 'other' game, because it's an action adventure that doesn't exist.)

How about a thread called "games that shouldn't be remade"
There Is, Search 'Halo'
Twas that supposed to be a joke?
No, Just A Mere Insult To Bungee And All The Work They Do :)
Ah, the classic attack on Halo and Bungie, seems to be able to fit into any thread no matter the topic...ugh

OT: Diablo II, imagine that bad boy with a graphics update (yes I know D3 is coming).

Yes, Well, I'm Going To Say "Trespasser" For The PC, It's An Old 1998 Game Based On Jurassic Park's "Site B."

Very Good Game, Well Ahead Of It's Time, Etc... But They Screwed It Up, So I Think If It Was Remade, Not Only Would It Look Better, But It'd Be Less Buggy And Whatnot...

Although They'd Probably Muddle Up "Fixing It" With "Making It Worse" And Then It Wouldn't Have Amusing Physics And Such...

I think the Heretic series would make a really good reboot if done right...

you sir, win the thread.
though, the only thing they could keep would be the main character's name, and certain enemies. and maybe a supercharged d'sparil as the villain. and NO CLASSES.

and... and... and... cave story like "weapon-trading" ! (if you played cave Story you would understand).

... why doesnt fantasy ever go outside of RPGs? it seriously degrades the whole genre imo.

..........why did you capitalize the first letter of every word? If you were trying for correct English, you failed. Horribly.

There's never ANY reason to remake ANY games other than to make more money.
I would counter by saying that in your eyes there's never any reason to make anything other than money. You want free? Play open source games and updates to older games.
Bit of a leap on that one. Remaking a game so you can resell it without incurring the massive development costs of a new game (the reason square is using to not remake FF7 is that it would have to be remade from the ground up, costing the same as a new game) and then selling it for the same price as a new game is a bit over the top. With the Sims, EA has now made and sold you the same game 3 and all their expansions 3 times. That is the kind of thing that needs to stop. No game should come out every year, and a sequel should actually BE a sequel and not the same game as the last one with graphical or roster updates. If you want to re-release your games and make money fine, but make it downloadable cheap like Square did with FF7 and FF8. Enough with this, "pay some big name animator to redraw the game, do a quick clean up of the translation and then sell it on the DS for $10 more than a normal DS game because people will pay it." Enough with the yearly installments of a game that only needs a roster update. Enough with releasing the exact same game with a number higher than the last one because the expansions for the lower numbered one stopped selling.

Timesplitters (because Crytek is bound to screw 4 up.)

Jade Cocoon (Pokemon + mix-and-match = certified badassery.)

Stubbs the Zombie (You have a dance battle with the Chief of Police)

Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde (get rid of weaknesses to other clans and we're good.)

Half Life in the Source Engine.
Good news, buddy. [http://www.blackmesasource.com/]

Now, I really wish they would remake FreeSpace 2.

Or you know what, just bring back space dogfighting games. Too many FPS's and JRPG's flooding the market, we need some space sims.

Look, capitalizing every word makes you look retarded. Stop it. It makes reading your posts painful. It'd be better to just not capitalize anything at all.

That being said, the best remake I've seen for anything was Metroid Zero Mission, capturing the essence of the original game without being afraid to expand it.

I also loved the DS remake of FFIV, so I'd like FFV and especially FFVI on DS too. Also, a new Chrono ANYTHING would make me scream in joy. Seriously, I was shouting in glee for a good ten minutes when I found out about Chrono Trigger DS, imagine what a sequel would do.

I think that Crash Bandicoot should be remade. He's my favourite videogame character and he deserves a proper send off.

Maybe combine 1, 2 & 3 into an epic, orange marsupial firing wumpa fruit out of a bazooka, platforming perfection
So with you there! I love Crash!

I'd like to have a remake of ShadowRun from the Sega Genesis, a game i spend many hours playing. I really didnt care for the 360/pc game that came out a few years ago...i'd love for someone to give another go at the old one, it was great if you couldnt get a tabletop game going
