yes, this, they even left a cliff-hanger at the end of the first one with lily's father being kidnapped. The Knightly Gamer said:I would love to see a psychonauts sequel. Its one of my all time favorite games. Plus its just funny as hell.
True dat. That game's a perfect example of how with good sound and art direction, games with outdated graphics can still look fucking beautiful. Have played very few games that capture a mood as well as the Otogi series, and it's basically the only reason I will occasionally dig up my old xbawks.xvbones said:And music. You left out music. The only other game I have ever played with music that has stuck with me as long is Katamari Damacy.j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:Marry me.Vrex360 said:I'd still love to see an Otogi: 3 made sometime soon.
In all seriousness, I would quite literally punch a baby if it meant we got an Otogi 3. Part of me hopes that, with all the acclaim and success they've got with Demon's/Dark Souls, FROM Software will return to what is easily their most artistically striking series. Otogi (IMO) manages to outdo even Okami when it comes to sheer artistic bravado and use of Japanese inspiration.
Yes, yes , yes. I'd be fine if we didn't have any of the characters coming back from Torment, but the Planescape world itself is too good to only visit once. Just think of all the possibilities from a city full of portals to every sort of possible plane. I would love thisBloatedGuppy said:![]()
Although maybe it's better if we just leave it well enough alone. It'd probably just ruin it.
1. Jade Empire : Yeah, I would buy a Jade Empire sequel - it's the first game that came to mind when I saw this thread.David Savage said:for me, there are two that stand apart from the crowd in this respect.
1) Mirror's Edge. Incredibly interesting gameplay concept, really cool visual design, one of the stronger female leads in gaming, IMHO. And yet it had a pretty terrible plot and the campaign was surprisingly linear for a parkour game. I know DICE has been saying that they want to make a sequel and EA has been waffling on it a bit, but I definitely feel that this game deserves a second chance, one where the developers can learn from the mistakes of the first game and turn out what would likely be a really cool product. (oh and it had a pretty damn awesome soundtrack too)
2) Jade Empire. It was an excellent RPG with some of the better action-game-style combat i've seen in the genre. I'd love to see this IP taken places. Bioware, as soon as you're done with the whole Mass Effect 3 thing, do me a favor and skip Dragon Age 3. Make this instead.
So what about the rest of you, escapists? What are some games that you think deserve another installment that haven't gotten one?

Dude I've totally been thinking how awesome it would be if Battlefront followed TF2 more closely. Heavy could be a Wookie, and...that's all I've got so far admittedly...CrimsonBlaze said:
Mmmmnooo.... As awesome as Planescape:Torment was, I just don't see a sequel bringing anything good.. The story is just too self-contained.BloatedGuppy said:![]()

Yes Please! Where can I donate my money/time/organs to make that happen?LookingGlass said:Oh, and if someone could bring Looking Glass Studios, Troika, and Black Isle Studios back from the dead and get them to make sequels to pretty much everything they ever made, the world would be a better place.
