Here is an idea, you see that little button in the corner of the post you are referring to? You know the one that says "QUOTE" maybe you should use it so people actually know who you are talking to and what you are responding to.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

...seriously, I could deal with every other bad game I have ever played if this crispy piece of deep fried fecal matter had never been green lit...and fans of the series had gotten the real third part...
Huh, I actually liked Nuts & Bolts. They strayed from their platforming roots and gave us richly detailed enviroments and vehicle parts to build with. True the races are annoying at times but many of the challanges could be so differant you would need a new vehicle for the job. Besides, a lot of fun could be derived from building and testing your crazy vehicles once you collect all the parts.

wow. this is just one big hate factory of a thread, isn't it? i didn't bother reading past the first three posts after seeing 3 awesome games (super mario galaxy, diablo, and COD) being hated on (though i'm not sure how diablo is a "cash cow" game. my wifes been playing it for YEARS and hasn't paid a dime over the price of this disc?).

anyway, this thread should be locked. i highly doubt theres any real discussion to be had here, other than people dissing games and others defending them. why not start up a ps3 vs 360 vs wii thread while you're at it?
Haha, honestly... things are being hated mostly because of their fanbases. And will you just look at that?

I actually disagree with every game mentioned thus far. I absolutely despise a fair number of them, but if they hadn't been made, we would be missing a whole lot of learning that developers have done.
There is one release, however, that did nothing more than rip off a few popular games in the NES era, and make worse versions of them for more money. The only meaningful contribution it made to anything is this video:
(actual game footage starts at around 2 minutes)
...which doesn't justify its existence at all. I'd erase it in a heartbeat (unless of course one of my favorite designers used it as a springboard early in their career... but I really doubt that).

see the zero punctuation review, his complaints for that are what it took for me to relize what a bloated 'relase the same game but with a different name' company nintendo is if any one dissagrees then fuck you!!!!

there may have been a few good nintendo games but this was not one of them
...also, the reason I didn't have any ___ available when Galaxy 2 was released is that mors616 had taken it all.

On a serious note, so what you're saying is that after watching a funny video you were proselytized and if we don't all agree, then fuck us? Are none of us supposed to have a sense of self?

WCW Nitro: It was crap, pure and simple. The controls were awful, the difficulty was crazy and not helped by the awful controls. The graphics where not good, but then again it was on PS1.

WCW Thunder: It was the EXACT SAME CRAP but with more characters and a steel cage match option. I really want to hammer the "Exact same crap" line home, because the really didn't change a damn thing from Nitro. Same bad controls, same bad graphics, same cheat code to unlock all the weird extra characters,(including, but not limited to, a horse, an alien, and Mike Tenay) same taking too damn long and being to damn complicated to do any grapple move... THQ didn't learn anything from WCW Nitro, and so they changed NOTHING.

WCW Backstage Assault: A wrestling game with no ring. The concept just did not work. The controls were bad, the graphics were so bad that everyone had t-rex arms, and it just SUCKED.

Joking, of course Fallout 3 is an OK game not nearly so bad that it should never have been.
The DLC on the other hand is.

Oh and Final Fantasy 7.
Agreed with Fallout 3, Anchorage and Zeta were shit. Also why is it some people say sadly Fallout 3 isn't Van Buren? Essentailly New Vegas is Van Buren. Sure we get a few snippets about the plot and a demo but outside that we don't know how the execution would have been or much else for that matter. I mean, what we get looks good but we don't have enough of it to judge it as a full game.

OT: Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. If you though Tatics was a lazy lore raping cash-in wait until you play this monstrosity. I think Fallout 3 was first person because of this god awful piece of shit. Fallout 3 made a fantastic world with an unfortunate lack luster work horse of a story, but at least they tried. Brotherhood of Steel on the other hand, takes Fallout takes out the RPG and strips it down to a soul-less run and gun with an equally half assed story. Thank god that Interplay was going under and had to toss away all non-essentail games in order to survive which lead to the cancelation of the project to make Brotherhood of Steel 2.

It's not hard I just explained it to you, when you see a post you want to comment on/about, you press the quote button in the bottom right hand corner of their post and it inserts a quote of their post into your post, it sends them a message telling them they have been quoted and it gives the rest of the thread context so they can see what you are actually talking about.

Also, it is obvious that any of the bad games should not have ever been made, but also think about how one game that has sparked some bad trends in gaming industry. Now THAT KIND OF GAME really should not have been made.

I can't really think of any games they don't deserve to exist, cheap move-based cash-ins maybe. Even the worst game has good parts.

OT: Splinter Cell Conviction. It was short. It was linear. It had nothing to do with stealth.
What are you talking about? Stealth was your primary weapon.
No, my primary weapon was the mark/tag system that let me instakill everyone in the room. Hiding on a ledge then jumping down and spraying evertything with bullets isn't stealth. That's just waiting a little bit before you start shooting.
I Agree, It's not a good stealth game if it's easier to just kill everybody in the room instantly that it is to sneak past the (my opinion)

God, now I feel like I'm picking on the special kid.

You created this thread. Did you not want responses?

I'm asking you: mors616, not Yahtzee. I watched that review as well, and I don't need a recap from someone who becaues dont know to do that! I want to know for what specific reasons do you regard Mario Galaxy 2 as shite when clearly...

-Darksiders (My god...it was like playing a platformer/hack'n'slash that was the alcoholic induced miscarriage of some homeless game designer)
I enjoyed Darksiders, it had an interesting unique plot (for me) and I enjoy a good hack and slash every now and again

-Asassins Creed: Brotherhood/Revelations (One Ubisoft Dev: Okay...so let me get this straight...people have to play as Ezio...two more times...even though he is a boring and one-note character that has basically had his entire backstory summed up in the second AC...seriously?...we...we couldn't like...ya know...visit some OTHER ancestor...cause...there's like hundreds of years...and ancestors we could totally visit...no?...well...maybe people will enjoy playing as the same guy who is less cool then Altair for 3 games straight?)
Ezio was such a better character then Altair, and yes I enjoy playing as Ezio for 3 games straight

-Every Final Fantasy After 7 (Why...just...why?)
Final Fantasy x, XII, and XIII were great games, that I spent many a fun hour playing

Not gonna say that those games aren't for everyone, but I personally found that some of the ideas/implementations of content was just straight horrible in most cases. I.E. Darksiders having a very clunky platformer element, or Assassins Creed sticking with a single character when there is prolly TONS of other characters/time periods/locations that would've been fun to visit.

Heck, Darksiders could've done better with more focus to combat and some more elaborate moves. Assassins Creed could've even been in a Southern Trailerpark with a character named Jim'Bob Mc'gee who lives in a swamp and assassinates crocodiles, just ANYTHING that'd make the characters/world seem less like a re-hash of the previous. Anywho, I'll stop ranting and let ya get back to enjoying your day. XD
As long as you know I wasn't trying to argue, I was just offering a differing opinion, you can rant all you want :)

Just sayin, cause sometimes differing views tend to evolve into full on blood feuds on this forum XD

No i believe that was directed at me, because I tried to encourage him to use the quote button so people know who he is talking to and so that for other people reading his post will have some context, as you can see it didn't end very well

New Vegas is a very watered down Van Buren based on what we got from the leaked documentation Van Buren was huge.

And yes BOS should never have been made. I usually don't think of it because I don't like to admit it exists.

Oh yeah I've had my share of those, usually only when someone responds to me with hostility, because I respond with hostility right back...maybe that's a fatal flaw of mine but hey it's fun
