...Even when I did play with others and online in the past, on other systems, or computer, I really didn't enjoy it. I don't buy games for multiplayer, and so many are geared towards that. I want replay value, at least something I'd enjoy 3 or more times, or with so much content It would take a long time to be boring. Some of them I listed were like that, but given time they all got dull.
I feel just like you :'-)
I buy games for the experience, replay value and sence of achievments. But multiplayer just destroys all meaning.
Most MMO- players are so retarded that the game stops beeing funny.
That's why I mostly play multiplayer with friends. (or other intelligent beeings.)
(That's also why I'm not addicted to WOW or the likes) :-D

I know what you mean, I love social gaming, but I also hate it. When you subject yourself to an online community you subject yourself to the most arrogant, ego driven, hateful, desperate, judgmental, and greedy gamers there are in the world. Before I quit World of Warcraft it got to the point where I actually played one character from 1 to 80 and never did a group quest or instance just to enjoy the game solo. Seriously I'd still play it if I could play it as a true offline game or one that just a few friends and I were the only ones in the world. I feel that way about other MMOs as well like City of Heroes/Villains.

WoW.

I'm still a fanboy, mind you. No other game, par Half Life 2, created such an immersive gaming universe. The beautifully detailed environments, the górgeous music, the characters, the story-lines, the humour, everything together creates a fantastic place to be.

However, 3 months into WotLK I just ran out of content. No matter how beautiful Grizzly Hills is in all it's aspects, when all you can do is run around and...well, do nothing, the fun kinda stops.

I might've stayed if my guild didn't screw itself up. One day I found myself guildless, I was kicked because they went all hardcore and didn't think a Friend's rank (I played WotLK casually, best time I ever had in that game) would fit with a hardcore guild. Safe to say that half of them didn't like the sudden change in mentality (most people played for fun) and me getting kicked (even though I had a Friend's rank, I was an age-old, well-respected member) and thus the guild disbanded.

So in the end, I had no people to play with anymore, I had no content to play with anymore and all I was left with was a gorgeous painting to walk around in with gorgeous music costing me 13 euro's a month. Sorry Blizzard, no matter how brilliant Azeroth is, I'm not paying 13 euro's a month to just look at stuff and listen to stuff. I can download that music for free you know, and wallpapers were invented for a reason. And that was a year ago.

On a non-WoW note, I also stopped playing GTA4, Assassin's Creed and Borderlands out of sheer boredom. All those games are just too damned repetitive.

I'm also having a hard time booting up Dead Space, simply because it's not scaring me. If a horror game simply isn't scary, you're usually left with a mediocre action game. I don't think the game is bad, mind you, it's trying really really well to scare me with those really good lightning and sound effects, but I'm just not scared by them. Sorry EA.

Tetris. I used to play it all the time as my little "time passer" when i was loading a video or something. Now I put a few blocks in place then I close the application and do something else.

Oblivion. I tried to come back to the game after a couple months absence, and, I don't know, it hit me. There wasn't a very compelling central narrative, the framerate had gotten worse, and Umbra was broken again.

I sat for awhile on that one. I just, lost interest.

I feel like that with Modern Warfare 2, I'm trying to reach 70 on Multiplayer, and it just isn't fun anymore...

Guild Wars and anything Bethesda.
There hasn't been anything new to get me interested in Guild Wars again, and all Bethesda games have been fun for about an hour for me...

Probably Bioshock, I love the story and the actual game however I detest annoying puzzles which is what the hacking sections were so I never managed to do a second playthrough.

Diablo I, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Fallout 3 and God of War (didn't even finish it).

I've played both Diablos so much that it is no wonder that I've gotten bored of 'em.
Fallout 3 was nice but at some point it just thought "meh" and released that I pretty much repeated everything I had done before and got bored of it.
Then there is God of War. Everyone praises the game and at first I thought that it was really awesome but it felt like it was missing something to me. I like hack-and-slash games and GoW is a good game but somehow it didn't last very long for me.

Left 4 Dead and Prototype did that to me. Left 4 dead took about 2 weeks, but Prototype took about 3 hours :(
