None, I'd just pre-order it beforehand. However, I'd be tempted to go to a midnight opening or something like that if I didn't have to do anything the next day. (as when I got back with the game I'd probably play if for at least a few hours)

There's not much camping in my little part of this world, maybe if I'd go to a neighbouring town 30 minutes away, and I'm saying maybe.
I don't really pay attention to precise release dates but it's not hard for me to get a game on the release date here if I wanted.

To answer your question; I might camp outside for Fable 2 and Mirror's Edge (god knows when that's coming out) if my friends came along and we'd have a good time.

Only possible way I would is if I could get something really valuable for free by doing so. Otherwise, just no. I have a life, thanks.

Well, I wouldn't actually say "camp" but I will preorder Fable 2. And if it is not available, THEN I will camp outside a store and when it opens... I shall have a chainsaw.

"Store Door Camping" is the cultural spawn of Father Consumerism and Mother Hype. It happens for retail sales, garage sales, games, or basicaly anything bought or sold with a announced sale date. Its kinda like a county fair, with far less flashing lights usually.

It is a social event.

Since I don't buy into hype and my budget doesn't allow for attending the event in question, I don't Store Door Camp. I look for a discount on the Steam store price after word of mouth or a trusted review after the game has been released.

I would never camp outside of a store for any product at all. I am patient and can afford to wait, a few days, weeks or months makes no difference to me. If I really want a game i will do the smart thing and preorder it so I dont have to put up with stupid lime ups.

I probably camp out for anything, it seems pointless where I live due to Halo 3, the killer ap, only having 40 or so people screaming and running for Wal-Mart to get it. Yay Small towns. ^^

I've camped out for several games in the past. Pokemon Diamond, Halo 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Though, to be fair, all I really did was get to the store a few hours early. I'm nowhere near as hardcore as those guys who stay camped out for days or weeks.

As of a few minutes ago, Far Cry 2. The map maker looks so unbelievably awesome! Check out the video on Kotaku.

I will camp on the other side of the road with a sniper rifle to ensure I get my copy of Stalker: Clear Sky.

Never store camped. Did buy Halo 2 Special Shiny Box Edition the day it came out tho. There were still plenty on the shelf. I guess people don't pick them up as quickly in Australia.

Other than that, closest I came to store camping was waiting the last 5 minutes for the Fnac to open in Toulouse, but I couldn't stand to seem to be camping, so I went and bought a croissant.

Mmmmm.... croissant....

I don't camp because target(or any retailer besides gamestop ) always has enough copies the day a game comes out Halo 3 sat in our backroom for a week before street day we had over 700 copies of it.

Were I planning to buy it (got last year of Uni coming up so no distractions!) I would consider lining up for Little Big Planet!

Elite 4, if it were ever released, would be one of the few games that would inspire that sort of behaviour for a game on its own.
Buy this man a beer! He's completely correct.

Frontier chipped away a good year off my life. The only really puzzling thing about that game is that the Imperial Courier that stars in the opening video is actually a complete pile of shit as a ship. What on earth? And I spent a good 6 months to get that ship.
