I would love to have an online deathmatch in the Maul on Fallout 3 with 100 people on each side. That would be fucking cool.

There could even be capture the flag, and territories.

There are so many games that would be sweet with that many people, like an actual war game where you are not the only person that can actually do something. Fallout 3 would be sweet but I think everyone would die. Left 4 dead game would be cool if you were playing through the whole infection from start to finish (If the infection does end).
Part of the problem with Fallout 3 is that it's basically humanity playing out the string with whatever food and resources they can scavenge. The MMO version would have to draw certain assumptions, like Project Purity creating a large-scale hydroponic farming operation using the techniques that Dr. Li and her team were working on in Rivet City. The Brotherhood of Steel, in order to maintain the necessary suspension-of-disbelief, would have to be a non-playable faction acting as a sort of uber-police, plus the Enclave, after the events of Fallout 2 in addition to Broken Steel, are pretty much a non-entity at this point. Fallout lore as it currently stands suggests there's nothing left of them.

So what you're left with is an MMO in the Fallout universe that either breaks canon or relies on untenable assumptions about remaining resources while trying to have us believe that thousands (if not millions) of people inhabit this world as players. Even on pop-restricted servers it's still a hell of a reach.

I don't trust the outfit Interplay's got developing (allegedly) the Fallout MMO (pending litigation, of course). I'd rather see ZeniMax/Bethesda on a game like that.
I don't believe that a Fallout MMORPG is coming out anytime soon. It would probably end up sucking, as no one wants to play the "little parts" needed to make the Fallout 3 storyline work.

Burnout would be insane, just remove traffic because otherwise it would be uber insane

It would probably melt your console but GTA 4, theres plenty of room

Prototype was planning coop but never followed through, 200 player coop prototype would be crazy

200 player Fallout or Oblivion

The Ship with 200 players would be immense (source game, use wiki)
Those are all really good choices I never would have thought of. I have no idea what The Ship is though.

All I want to see is a new Star Wars X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and that would be amazing with that many players (or a complete clusterfuck)
That would be awesome really, the ship by the way is a source game where you have to run around on a ship (hence the title) assassinating targets that you are randomly assigned while avoiding/ killing your own assassin, however you must avoid detection by the guards or you get sent to jail and you also have to go and find a weapon, weapons range from actual pistols to umbrellas to poisonous needles.

Also I feel that section 8 has the potential to be pretty good in 200 multiplayer with the large maps and ability to spawn (or burn in) anywhere it means that you can effectively avoid the clusterfuck :)

this is probably the reason that MMO games are almost always very dull RPGs and such, because if you did anything like that with actual action oriented gameplay it would turn into a clusterfuck. Maybe a game like crackdown? I dunno.

The only way MMOs would work (If cooperation was required) is if friendly fire is ignored/reflected and people can't hide the objective.

The Ship sounds like my kind of game, unfortunately my PC is a piece of shit so I am stuck with console games for now. I've played Section 8 before, reminds me of Halo mixed with Battlefield (I hear alot of comparisons to Tribes but I never played that) That game could would be better with more players, everyone is way to spread out, at least on the 360 version. I don't know how many players are on PC.

Some sort of space dogfighting game but with quick respawns and a variety of ships so you can get huge armament platforms for lieutenants that take like 20 people to shoot down.

Balancing would be a *****.
Also there'd be a need for joysticks on consoles.
I personally would take the approach of getting the fastest ship I could and covering it in guns, who wouldn't?

BRAID. All 200 in the same level and all 200 control the same time, although some get powers from some worlds and others from other worlds. It would be hilarious to see how it turns out.

"STOP REWINDING TIME YOU NOOB"
"I cant help it im walking fowrad!"
"NOT YU THE GUY WALKING BACK!"
"omg who used the greenkey now we have to restart"

Fallout 3. I cried a little when the MMO got canned. I think I was the only one who saw massive potential in that.

Mass Effect. Epic space battles with everyone being thrown all over the place by biotics. Shit would be ridiculous.
