Moon physics was great. Also cheating on that game was the only way I ever found out about Skater Heaven. (or w/e it was called)

Oh man, nostalgia kick. I used to love finding out about all the secret levels like Skater Heaven. The newer titles missed this excitement completely.

i rarely cheat in games, i usually like playing the games with challegen that was originally intended.
That being said, during my 3rd playtrgouh of GTA:SA i found the trainer made for online cheating extremely fun in singleplayer as it offered way more possibilities than cheats.
Im not sure if it counts as cheating, but in quite a few games i would be creating custom maps to have fun in. the most common exanple woudl be a tower defence iterations. for example i would create a elaborate labyrinth to walk though in stronghold map editor placing 10 times the amount of units the game would normally allow, create a whole economy in the corner so the game wouldnt doe on its own and just jugle the battle, have wvariuos battlement and enemy waves coming, to the point where sometimes you would have over 2000 units on your screen fighting though the labyrinth trying to get to my "lord" (as per enemy AI) and the map would last for over 20 hours of constant battle. This was before i had internet so i didnt share any of it, i just created them for my own fun. now that i have internet, i find myself not having that much time to create them. i still sometimes do, but nothing as elaborate.
if thats cheating then yes i bloody well love cheating.

Morrowinds? Health cheat. That's what makes that game playable for me. Yeah it's cheating but...come on its Morrowind. I want to be able to enjoy that game instead of constantly being frustrated with it.(god that combat..)

And every Grand Theft Auto that allowed cheating, specifically Vice City.
why would you need a health cheat in morrowind?
all you need to do is make a very simple common ring enchanged to restore health at power of 2. thats it, you are now immortal. and it cost you less than selling one daedric sword found in one of thousands of daedric lords you fought.

Does playing the fire deck in Magic 2014 count? Literally got 3 Lava Axes in my starting hand so I whacked the poor bastard to death with them. Players have 20HP, each Lava Axe takes off 5. My only creatures were a Pilgrim's Eye and some shitbird 2/1...

Proper offensive/defensive creature control? Who needs that?! Direct damage cards OP, nerf pls.

I don't really use cheats in general, I would use the Just Cause 2 invincibility cheat (probably has one) because I always fucking die and the tint the screen goes when you're taking damage is insufferable. Literally was the only reason I left the game. That and the really wank story.
Why would you ever run Lava Axe?
OP: GTA games and Saint's Row 2. Turning yourself into an indestructible avatar of destruction is always fun.

has a FIT whenever I use direct damage cards (he runs Overrun spam Green deck, he gets no pity) and 2. the deck is premade and I haven't bothered thinning it out/unlocking all of it yet. 5 damage is good but I will say the mana cost may be too high to be worth keeping in later on.

Keep in mind that you are talking to a competitive player (I own a 600$ Modern deck and a 300$ Standard deck). So I come at this from a very anti-casual perspective. I run an optimized version of the Illusions decks in 2014. And anyone who actually prefers Garruk's deck is wrong in the head. I'm kidding. [small][small][small]Mostly.[/small][/small][/small]

My personal favourite way to use cheats is to remove/bypass the poorer bits of the game, or to get rid of annoying mechanics. In ME3 for example, my (heavily modified) coalesced.bin removes the reapers from the galaxy map and allows me to get infinite resources and paragon/renegade points. I've also used MEsaves to download someone elses Shepard, or Gibbs editor to tweak a save, to change my Sheapard so I could try the game differently (eg. different companions died/survived, different love interests, etc).

I enjoyed messing with DA:O as well. Adding many new spells to Mages, making mixed class characters, having a Mage but not the Circle Origin story, etc. My Bethesda games are usually heavily modded after far too much time spent at the Nexus sites. I like adding new stuff especially if it adds to immersion, but also convenience. My Breezehome has all the containers and crafting/enchanting benches for example. Any future Skyrim playthrus, you can be damned sure I'm not going to grind enchanting, smithing or alchemy again either.

And of course there's always "tcl" :)

Skyrim and Oblivion are the only games I regularly cheat in. And even then it's usually just to remove encumbrance.

Free roaming games like GTA are the most obvious answer. When you have a sandbox to play in, you benefit from being in complete control over the sandbox.
Seconded.

San Andreas is still my personal favourite in this regard. It's an awesomely detailed, realistic (for its time) recreation of an enormous and diverse landscape, complete with day/night cycle and random weather patterns - for as long as you want it to be. Once you decide to break out the cheats, you're God.

Wanna make it rain permanently? Go ahead. Want unlimited ammo for every gun in the game? You got it! Too lazy to go to the beach? Make EVERYWHERE the beach! Watch as hot bikini babes relax on their towels right on the sidewalk. Or in the middle of the desert. Miss the King? Boom. EVERYBODY IS ELVIS! Can't find a cool enough car? Turn everybody ELSE'S cars into rusty pieces of junk!

My favourite cheat in the game has to be the one where any car you bump into becomes WEIGHTLESS and starts drifting off! I find it a strangely relaxing experience to summon some heavy fog, go zigzagging slowly through the traffic on a rural highway and, as cars gently soar skywards all around me, get the radio to play "Make The World Go Away".

Funniest thing to do in a city? Make ALL the traffic lights turn green at once!

I very much hope GTA V gets some really weird and wonderful cheats as well!

I cheated in SWKOTR, Age of Empires 1, GTA 3 and Skyrim. (I don't play these games anymore) I cheat in Age of Empire 2 HD, Mass Effect (all the skill points *****!) and if you count all the health upgrades in Saints Row the Third and custom keybinding in TF2, I cheat in those games too.

I would say GTA but even then the games aren't fun.

But probably the sims is the best to cheat at, i remember typing:

'Rosebud;!;!;!;!;!' (gets you 1000 simoleons, and an extra 1000 for every '1;' added) so many times....

then, building a massive, f*** off house, completely pimping it up, and then, when it was about time to allow the people to live in the house, quitting and building another house, i never enjoyed the living part. >_>

Is save scumming really thought of as cheating?
It depends on how much you abuse it. Everyone saves before and after difficult battles, you're more or less expected to do it. Stuff like going into casinos, betting high and reloading if you lose, that's pretty blatant cheating. Although there is at least one game (Leisure Suit Larry) where that is the only way to get necessary funds, in which case it's not cheating.

I still think the pure White deck is slightly too good. Not overpowered exactly but it's quite a good pubstomping deck (so is the Green one come to think of it) because it's good throughout all stages of the game. You have your low cost Humans who all have great synergy with each other, then some mid tier angels then the top level angels like say Angelic Overseer and the like. Oh and exiles... Lots and lots of exiles. I would customise it more but I like the look of everything and style points beats efficiency. I just removed the one with First Strike that had mediocre stats and makes all your cards +1 Mana more to cast.

I remember things like Ancient Depths in the original that was built around turtling behind stuff like your 0/4 Kraken Hatchlings until you got the lands to summon a bunch of bullshit powerful creatures later on. It's weakness was quite obviously its very weak early game where it was common to get killed before they got to critical creature mass. Avacyn's Glory has no glaring flaws at all. I thought the point was that every deck had its ups and downs but Avacyn's Glory is just solid all round at any point in the game. Not even jack of all trades solid, I mean properly good all the time

Hey Rookie got some serious customisation on the Green deck. It's actually kind of threatening. [sub][sub] then I use a stockpile of exile cards on all his things[/sub][/sub]

Hey there's something admirable about making the lower tier decks work, even though I call Rookie out on being the incredible one trick Overrun/Enlarge spamming pony every other game. (almost full health? More like, DEAD LOL) I seriously tried to make Cloudburst work in the original too. The entire concept behind that deck made no sense to me. Almost every creature was a suicide one that died after a turn, I can't remember if they ever had Trample but i'm rather sure they didn't. Like zero defensive capabilities ever... Its offense wasn't even good either since blocking is a thing.

There is a little mod for the PC version called DSfix which among make the game look better, also makes backups of the save file every 10 minutes. Also on the PC version the game autosaves whenever you close it so I can just copy the save file somewhere else. And if I die, I'll just paste it back and lose no progress. It just means quitting the game a lot and managing files.

And no I don't play online.

That sounds excellent. Needless back slogging through all the prior waves of enemies just to get back to the boss was on of the things that made me hate Demon's Souls.

Na , i don't like cheating even in single player . I hate anything easy . It becomes a snoozefest dor me and i end up asking myself ,what's the point . For me challenge is fun, roflstomping everything is boring . This is why i have recently turned to competitive fighting games.
