Fallout 3. It's a shame I missed out on it for so many years. On the plus side, I got the game of the year edition from Gamestop brand new, with all the DLC, for just $20 :)

Deus Ex, picked it up on a steam sale last year or something like that.

Grim Fandango and Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, but at least I played Deus Ex back when it came out. :)

p.s.- if you liked Dawn of War, the sequel is even better. In my opinion.

Half Life 2.

Released in 2004.

I played it in 2010.

Still loved it to bits.

Well, you're lucky. I've been dying to play this for the last 5 years and I still haven't been able to do so. Wish they'd put it up on steam or GoG or something.

I think Ocarina of Time and Shadow of the Colossus are the biggest ones for me. They're both games I've heard people talk about for all my life but only took the time to play them a few months ago.
It sucks to miss out on that nostalgia feeling everyone else seems to enjoy from them so much.

Mass Effect, well 2 & 3.

I played ME years ago on the 360 but then let the series drift. I only decided to get back into it once I read all the "ME3 RUINED MY LIIIIFE!!!" and "ME3 waz zo bad i hadz to kil my family!!" commments to see what all the fuss was about. Glad I did revisit the universe after that, enjoyed the shit out of those two games.

Starcraft. Only just started playing it :p

Really want to get the second one, but the computer I mainly use for gaming is so old and shitty that it overheats playing SCI...
Luckily I'm getting the Excel AL-570 computer very soon, and it kicks ass (Compared to what I have. Probably isn't that amazing...). Looking forward to getting the second one, it looks like a ton of fun, I watch Husky and Totalbiscuit casting all the time.

And enjoy dawn of war! It's awesome. But really, if you haven't, get the expansions. They make the game so much better.
I used to play it a lot, but now that I've actually tried RTS's like starcraft where there's an opportunity for micro, unlike AoE and DoW that I've been playing for years, I'm really warming to that style. I now dislike squad based RTS, I feel that company of heros would have been 10x better if it wasn't squad based.

I finished Half life 1 for a week ago, or so. I finished Half Life 2 last night. I'm not sure when I'm going to play through the epsiodes, but they're waiting in my steam library, as they've been for the last 2 years.

I also was a bit late to the party with the first ME, as I got it on a steam sale, and finished it, right before the release of ME2.

I didn't buy Red Dead Redemption until the end of 2011, waaaay after all my friends stopped constantly raving about it. As it stands I'm still only a few hours into it. I kind of got sidetracked.

I never played Portal or Mass Effect until last summer, and I've yet to play Mass Effect 2.

And I only started playing Batman:Arkham Asylum a couple weeks ago.

Didn't discover Fallout 3 until 2010. Great, however as I could get the GOTY for the low-low price of £20. Then I got New Vegas as soon as it came out for £18 at an Amazon super-sale.
Best £38 I have EVER spent.

Torchlight, two years after it was release, and loving my quest for the best pants!

Also teaching your pet to throw fireballs....EPIC!
