I don't like the Half Life episodes. The more time I spend watching scripted events, the less I'm actually playing. I makes me think twice about playing through the episodes again, because I know I'll be sitting through conversations I've memorized and watching things I can recall mentally with perfect clarity.

Half life, I just was boring. I didnt really care about the main guy when he never talks.... Its like ummmm you just going to destroy and shoot and hit stuff with no respawnce? ok bye.
I can barely tell what the hell you're trying to say, so I'll assume you're talking about silent protagonists. By your logic, Doom, GTAIII, Super Mario, Okami, and most Pokemon games are boring by sheer virtue of having silent protagonists. Personally, I prefer silence to something like the Gears of War banter. 'Nice! Nice. Nice? Nice... Nice!'

Oblivion was a shame and a pity. It's like Bethesda were aiming to make a generic, bland puddle of disappointment. In my eyes, it was lacking so much of what made Morrowind great, the rich world that felt huge, the potential for adventure, the little details.
