Bioshock. I enjoyed it up to and including the big plot twist, but I suddenly lost interest after that. I stopped playing altogether once I got to the stupid random plasmids section.

I have yet to complete the main quest of any Elder Scrolls game. I always end up getting sidetracked by the sidequests and exploration elements until I get burnt out and stop playing for a year or two. Then I'll pick it up again, start over with a new character, and do the same thing until I get burnt out again. Rinse and repeat.

Oblivion and Skyrim. Put like 100+ hours into each of them, but never bothered to finish either. I've tried a couple times with each of them, but I always end up getting incredibly bored by 'em.

Max Payne 3. I dunno why I never bothered to finish this. It wasn't a bad game... it just didn't feel much like a Max Payne game. I mean... Max is definitely there, and I think they did a pretty good job on him as a character... it's just everything else that feels... off. I'll probably get around to finishing it at some point though, if nothing else because I loved the first two.
Took me a while to get into it. I actually haven't played the others (shame on me) despite getting the entire collection on steam when it went on sale so I can't judge the game compared to those 2 but I enjoyed it. I notice sometimes with myself if I go into one thing expecting something and get something else I become less determined to finish it. But keep at it, it gets good, especially the final airport level. That's how long it took me to make up my mind as to what I thought of the game. As it turns out I really liked it.

OT: I've gotta say the first Assassins Creed game. Everything just felt so... repetitive... It just bored me. You attracted the guards attention too easily (riding your horse too fast in an open field) and there just wasn't enough assassination parts I felt. I just got bored and stopped playing it after like 3 assassinations or something. Plus combat for me basically meant "wait util the counter button appears in all of its glory". For me it just came across as a dumbed down version of Hitman, with more jumping around on rooftops.

The most recent, to my shame, is Planescape: Torment. Not because it's bad, far, FAR from it, but because I got burned out on it. I've just finished up Trias' story, and I've entered the end game, but the little I've read all points towards a lot of combat coming up, and the combat is the weakest part, unfortunately. That said, I will get back to it soon, as I've invested too much not to see it through to the end.

EDIT: Scratch that, just finished it. Yeah, it was awesome. In that case, I'll say Catherine, because I couldn't work up the enthusiasm to redo a half hour puzzle.

Dishonoured.

I feel guilty for stopping. Its awesome. I love every second of it. I want to play it right now. I just really cannot be bothered. At all.

Far Cry 3.

Exactly the same as above.

I have no reason to not play either of those games. But in the last month I have spent more time on the Sims 3 then on either game combined and I am not even close to having finished either game.

I really have no idea why I stopped playing either game. And no idea why I don't boot up either game. But I probably won't.

It's been three years. I still need to finish Metroid Prime 2. Hell, I think I need to restart it! I don't even remember where the hell I am!

Need to get to work on Metal Gear Solid 2, as well. With the exception of Raiden and *ugh* Rose, I actually very much enjoyed the game. Hell, I liked it more than Twin Snakes! But once I had to get Emma out of that goddam water level, with no way to heal her, I was just like "NOPE! I'll do this later!" But later never came...

Also Oblivion, but that's because I just don't like it. :p

Can I just say JRPGs in general? I usually don't just 'stop playing' though- what seems to happen is I'll get so far into the game before I encounter some form of boss I won't be able to beat without excessive backtracking and grinding, neither of which I want to do.

I tend to really love them when I am playing them, but when I hit that wall my interest just seems to evaporate...

Borderlands 2. its just so similar to the first game, and if you dont have people to play with, it just isnt as fun.

This is something I've only started doing recently, it's such a weird feeling to just, like, stop playing a game when you're in the middle of it.

Deus Ex:Human Revolution: I reached the second Hong Kong part and just stopped for some reason. I was either bored or frustrated with the game or I brought something else that was much more exciting to me. I've finish it one day though.

Just Cause 2: I played through the first few missions...then Mass Effect 3 happened.

Neverwinter Nights: I've stopped and started this game so many times I've lost count. I made it to the final boss one time then stopped playing, then came back to it, decided I wanted to start a new character, and went from the beginning. It's weird I treat the game this way, seeing it's one of my favourites.

Too many to name, but in the interest of contributing something, I'll list all the games I currently have installed on Steam because I'm still trying to convince myself to go back and finish at least one or two of them:

Alan Wake
Amnesia: The Dark Decent
Borderlands 2
Dust: An Elysian Tail
The Legend of Grimrock
Little Inferno
Saint's Row: The Third
Shadowrun Returns
Tomb Raider
Torchlight 2
The Witcher
XCOM: Enemy Unknown

And that's not counting all the Roguelike-like games that I don't feel like I'm done with but haven't played in forever, or any of my console games, or of course any games I've uninstalled because I've admitted that I'll probably never get back to them. I'd be typing all day if I tried to list everything.

Skyrim: I noticed how bored I was getting with it, and charged through the main questline quickly (and promptly forgot it since). Unfortunately playing the game for more than half an' hour without getting bored is an impossibility to me.

I've kinda stopped playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown, not sure why. It's all very absorbing and epic and all those good words but I can't stand the formula (the day in, day out thing for missions and buying things), which may be a big reason.

FarCry 3, I just couldn't be bothered carrying on with it. Sorry, Jason, we're going to have to get that shit ending one day, but not now.

Xenogears. Got to the final boss, found him to be ridiculously hard, put off the game until I just lost interest.

Skyrim. The story is boring as all hell and the characters have little to no personality. Great game for just wandering and screwing around, but I have no interest in seeing the plot through to the end.

JRPGs in general. Stopped playing them the same time I stopped liking anime.

I have a large list but the biggest mystery drop for me was Persona 3 and I can't get back into it because I can't remember where I left off and don't want to start a new game.

Fallout 3, I found New Vegas to just be the same but bigger, better, more.
Strange, I stopped playing New Vegas when I realised the game was basically forcing me around in a circle and any attempt to deviate from that path would get me super murdered. I preferred Fallout 3 because even though you had missions to do, you could wander off, explore, do your own thing before going back to that mission.
I felt exactly the same way with New Vegas. It was just about going here there and every damn where just to complete a single quest that I got fed up. Also end up being killed by a family of Deathclaws I can't out run or Cazador that drain my health with one bite. Don't get me started on those Legion fools trying to assassinate me every time I fast travel.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Fallout New Vegas
Mark of the Ninja
Tenchu

It's funny. In fact, I'd been enjoying each and every one of these games very very much up until the point that I simply stoped playing them. I guess I just had too many other stuff to play (Except for Tenchu. Tenchu was just way too hard for me as a kid)

Pretty much any Bethesda game. I suppose it's because I tend to piss around a bit too much and end up making myself sick of the game.

Off the top of my head right now:

Fable 2 - I find this too easy, and coupled with so many hidden goodies that I feel compelled to get and a bunch of grinding to get money to buy houses that I know I don't need, I think I just burned myself out on the game. I could probably do a quick run of the game, since it was easy as hell, but I just don't feel like it.

M&L: Superstar Saga - I'm just very lazy here, admittedly. I'll get around to beating this eventually.

Golden Sun - See above.

FF5/FF6 - I actually emulated these on Visual Boy Advance, but they were on an old computer of mine that flat out died. I can't bring myself to go back and redo the progress I did on these games, especially FF6, since I did so much on that.

Touhou: Labyrinth of/Subterranean Animism/Unidentified Fantastic Object - If you don't know about the Touhou games, know that the original ones and any spin-off fangames are known for being really. FUCKING. HARD. I just haven't gotten around to beating them, since they're very unforgiving.
