Gears 3 technically I helped my brother beat it but I never replayed the campaign after that. Banjo kazooie, got to the part where u rescue tooty and never was motivated enough to beat grunty, also jet force gemini and blast corps. Also quicktime event evil 6 it wasnt bad, wasnt great either, bf3 and donkey country returns. Got more but that'd take too lon g lol

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

It's a good game, and the story wasn't that bad for a new IP. I just beat all of the DLC and then...collected dust ever since.
Seconding this. I got maybe two thirds through it and just dropped it completely. It's just such a forgettable game.

Recently also dropped The Last of Us and Ni No Kuni because I didn't find them enjoyable at all.

There have been many but most recently they've been Bioshock and Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros.
I stopped Bioshock because I just didn't like it. I'm not sure why I stopped playing Dream Team Bros. I really like it but I do this with almost every game over 20 hours long. I always stop for ages and then eventually come back to finish it.
Takes me years to finish an RPG.

Alice: Madness Returns, I got it for PS3, but this was just before I got really into PC gaming, so I just never went back to it, also every time I got the chance to play it, I was extremely tired so I just couldn't make any progress with it, same thing with Dead Space 2, it's weird though cause I really liked both of them.

I figured I would go for 100% trophy completion but there's a bug keeping me from getting 'Switch Hitter' (play two hours as both a man and a woman), plus the super stomp thing requires 150 kills. Almost 80 hours in and I've still got only 80 stomps. *SIGH* 95% trophies, and I just want to get to 100. It's the principle.

I love Saints 4, but the game is too buggy and crashtastic.

SW:TOR

This was back when it was subscription based. I still had around 20 days remaining on my 3 month subscription and yet I randomly lost motivation to log in. I was working on my 25ish Bounty Hunger and 30ish Infiltrator (I think - the dark side spy guy). Both had storylines I was invested in and I was really trying to finish one or the other before my sub ran out.

I woke up and just didn't feel like playing. This lasted about 4 days (I didn't play any other game during this time either) at which point I mentally decided I'd stop playing altogether because I was now to far behind to beat the game with either of those classes.

By the time the game went free to play I had forgotten to much about those story lines to get back into it. To this day I consider SW:TOR to be the best MMO ever made though. I'm the kind of guy who plays MMO's solo to beat the campaign and then run alts rather than grind endgame content for gear.

Yeah, same. It's a great game, but some of the cheevos are locked behind some Grade-A tedium that really suggests that the game is about 60% padding. The parts that aren't gristle and that have actual meat and juice are utterly awesome - but the hacking/hotspots/flashpoints et al felt like *such* a waste of time...

"Hey playa! I know you could jack out, like, right now, but go and kill some extra Zin for me! Don't argue and go do it! I'm easily bored, see?"

I swear that could've been one of the mission briefing lines.

Just Cause 2. I had just way too fun zipping across the map to bother finishing the game (the writing was so bad. I still can't tell you what the fuck was happening, that is how little I cared about it.) Eventually that got boring and, with no motivation to finish the game moved on to something else.

Also, I have a bunch of DLC I bought for multiple games that I haven't got around to yet, but I don't think that counts.

Great game. Recommend it to anyone. Never finished it though and can't put a finger on why.

The most recent one coming to mind was Prototype. I got pretty far into the game, but I just couldn't take anymore of the same-looking gray and brown environments, repetitive battles, and redoing challenges over and over again due to control issues.

I had more interesting games to play, and I just abandoned it.

GRID 2.

Got it at launch, but the game had this glitch in it that basically stopped any progression in the career mode at a certain point, relegating all to have to race multiplayer. Problem there is that multiplayer isn't like racing, but more like a demotion derby (which is ironic because I heard they just released a free demolition derby mode as DLC for the game...for that?).

So I stopped, and not going back to it. Foolishly enough I bought it digital, so I can't even trade it in. Never again.

Lemesee...

Arcanum: Of Steamwork and Magic Obscura, recently - I just got bored with the empty-feeling environments plus I never really understood the combat system and never really got much involved in the story. So I stopped some 10 hours or so in. A shame, really, as I was looking forward for some good cRPG...
The Last Remnant - my first shot at JRPGs, the further I got, the more I felt that my lack of understanding of the game mechanics lead me to have really bad character builds, got into an impossible fight with some boss (pretty far into the game, I think), tried quite a lot of times and then stopped playing.
Far Cry 2 - never really got me interested, eventually quit to play something more fun.
Magicka - but that´s a specific case of me just waiting for a friend to get his PC fixed so we can play it together...

Then there´s this thing when I sometimes stop playing a game for quite a long time without any reason whatsoever but then pick it up again where I left and finish it a couple of months later. This happened to me with Mass Effect, BioShock, Dragon Age: Origins and quite a couple of games, actually. Also SpaceChem but there it´s the difficulty of the new levels that turns me off every now and then only for me to return much later to give it another try...
