Actually, that game, despite being repetitive still holds a place in some of my favorites.

Personally, I loved FFIX. I don't know why everyone I talk to hates it. KOTOR2 and, despite some critics flaws with it, Team Fortress 2. Its not that they said it sucked, just said that it would just blend in with the scenery that is Multiplayer games. Idiots.

sigh...
Try to keep a straight face while looking at that.
What? God Hand was awesome. Imagine Party Babyz was just an average shooter...

man, i also liked that game, despite de atrocious story
IT doesn't have a horrible story... just horrible presentation of the fantastic story that they had...

>.> Dynasty Warriors made me go out and BUY the "Three Kingdoms" translation by Moss Roberts. The 1000+ page tale in three volumes telling the chinese history between 180ish AD and 270 AD
oh, i confused the story with that one where the cop from france travels back in time to feaudal japan and a samurai go fight ninjas on the louvre or something like that

Dead Space. I constantly see people crap on it and compare it to Event Horizon (horrible film IMO), but it did what I expected it to. It creeped me out, kept me entertained, and as expected the audio was absolutely divine.

Everyone seems to hate popular games because they're popular.
Same with music.
*shrug* I don't care anymore.

I had a lot of fun with Mercenaries 2. No, it wasn't flawless, but the sheer carnage you could cause (especially after the update that brought the infinite ammo cheat), along with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor made it a blast in my opinion.
I thought I was the only one who liked this game. I thought that even though the vehicles didn't handle that well and the AI was absolutely retarded, it was still a fun game.

I haven't seen Guitar Hero: Aerosmith get a score above a 7.5 on most gaming sites, but I think it's one of the best in the series.

Without Warning. Despite what I read in a lot of reviews, I found it to be an excellent game, and a definite favourite in my collection.

I keep seeing Mirror's Edge even though I believe it was pretty well recieved. But I really liked it so I'll mention it as well.

Assassin's Creed as well. I love going up against a guard (seemingly) unarmed just to counter his attack with a blade through the bottom of his jaw. I'm pretty sure I'd hate the game just as much as everyone else if it weren't for the hidden blade. (Although kicking a mooks knee in and taking a broadsword to their neck...you know what? All the counters in that game are great)

I'd also like to push forward Too Human simply because it has a lot of good ideas and once you have your character decked out and leveled up you'll be juggling entire armies at a time. There were many flaws within but I still hope the reception hasn't killed off all prospects of the trilogy that they had planned.

Urban Chaos: Riot Response. I think it was okay with critics, but it deserved far more praise than it got. You could kill people with meat cleavers, watch them fall off a building and listen to their head cracking on the pavement - all in slow motion! And the Riot Shield is a frickin' awesome idea, too bad most FPSes went for regenerating health instead.

Sad face.
Wow, and I thought I was the only person who liked that game. But as for my two cents, I rather enjoyed Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. I have yet to try the multiplayer, but the campaign was really fun I thought. There were a multitude of different spells, very solid melee combat and challenging difficulty. The only thing I hated was the dumb ditsy chick you had to protect for a good 20% of the game. God I hate her...
