Games that you missed in 2011, but plan to play in 2012

I plan on checking out:

That's a pretty good list there. I should check out those bottom two. x3 I can vouch that those top three are some pretty fun/interesting games.

I feel like I would like to check out Batman and Assassin's Creed if I ever get the chance.

One of the games that I am looking forward to in 2012 (hopefully not so much so that I will have my expectations set too high) is Dragon's Dogma.

I may pick up Dark Souls sometime next year. I only recently played Demon's Souls, and need a good bit of time to "cool down" on that type of game. It wasn't the difficulty that wore me down, it was the atmosphere. It was very lonely and depressing.

Other than that, it depends on whether or not I get a new computer. I'd like to play some PC games like The Witcher 2.

Currently unopened on the shelf I've got:

- Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection
- Dead Space 2

But games I still need to get are:
- Rayman Origins
- Skyrim
- InFamous 2
- Dark Souls
- Uncharted 3

But that all depends on when Bioshock Infinite comes out next year, as that will rule my life

Arkham City and Asylum since I've played neither. They were going to be on my Christmas list but I somehow forgot.

Saints Row 3 - I loved the first two games but the third installment doesn't tickle my fancy so much and I'm going to wait until I can find it cheap and after I've finished Skyward Sword, Skyrim and AC:R.

I might also look into playing an MMORPG. I've played City of Heroes and I loved the game until I reached level 50 a couple of years ago, then restarting without my guild which disbanded it was never the same. I also tried Runescape for a few weeks, but it was just too simple and I felt like I was surrounded by criminals - a feeling I really can't elaborate on or explain. I just didn't want to engage with anyone.

I know it's old too, but I also want to play Dragon Age Origins. I played 2 this year and enjoyed it, but I want to understand the rivalry between the fans of the two games and figure out if the handful of people who enjoyed both aren't insane.

I think most of all... Mortal Kombat comes to mind.

I didn't have a PS3 when it came out and then the DLC turned me off too. Waiting for the GOTY edition or w/e that's rumoured to be coming out. Never paid much attention to MK after II but that was a classic game.

Have and still need to play:
- Dark Souls (need to play Demon's Souls first...)
- Uncharted 3 (need to play 1&2 first...)
- Bastion
- Jamestown
- Renegade Ops
- A few indie/arcdey games on Steam like that

Need to buy Portal 2 as well, not to mention Shogun 2 when it comes out in some kind of complete pack and Deus Ex 3 the same.

It's still lonely and depressing, but less so than Demon's Souls. There is no Tower of Latria or Valley of Defilement type level in the game. (Well, there's Blighttown but it's backstory is pretty much minimal and isn't nearly depressing as Valley of Defilement's was)

I brought El Shaddai and Shadows of the Damned both for a tenner in Cex, you should check the website to see if they are in stock, great games.

I'm waiting for Batman Arkham City to go down in price, before I buy it.

I'm also thinking of buying a Wii just to play Zelda Skyward Swords.

Deus Ex is brilliant if you're into RPGs. definitely should be top of your list if you like stealth games as well!

For me it is Dark Souls though I'm not sure if I should get it. Will I like it if I'm a huge fan of Skyrim?

Nothing really; I'm going to probably get Battlefield 3, but I played that for a few hours on someone else's machine, so that doesn't really count. As I've said before, there really wasn't much that jumped out at me this year.
