The Half-Life series. Tried the first when I was 9, but was too stupid to relize I had to jump over some dumb laser after the meltdown thing happened. Lost the copy, never rebought, but can't forget because it is this forums favorite game.

Noticed a good few final fantasies there, most of which can be freely downloaded from any rom site such as ROMNATION for 1-5 and PM me if you want the newer ones.

Dawn of War, despite being told it's rubbish by many I need to play it...

Try Amazon (co.uk / .com depending on where you live)

What about Vista? Will it work on that if it works on XP?
I've no idea.
Actually, I got my hands on it thanks to the kind soul who gave me the amazon link - it works fine on XP but I haven't tried Vista yet. I don't know exactly how it works but it installs something on the system or something to make it managable. I guess no-one with a run-down system plays games anyway, they order weapons on them like in Far Cry 2.

There's three disks of awesome, and even though I'm not finished yet I have to say the story is really intriguing so far. There have been two moments of "shit, I need gamefaqs" both because I couldn't see where the hell I was supposed to go. That's the thing about the art-style though, it works brilliantly sometimes and totally screws you over in others.

I'd just like to say "ew Vista" and to complain that you are one of the people who further Microsofts shitty operating systems made by the laziest programmers on the planet. If you use it not by choice, but by the work of your parents, boss or some other ignorant mindless bastard then I apologise.

And furthermore on a happier note I finally played Dawn of War.

I went into an arcade with my mother once, I saw a game called the "Red Baron". I begged and pleaded, but she never let me play it.

To this day I have not. And still wish to...

I have never played a FF game though I would like to. It's just hard to get hold of FF7 which is the only one on computers.
Actually, FF8 is also for the PC.

Hmmm, I'd like to frickin play Grim Fandango, though I'm not an adve[/quotnture-game fan. And also, for the third time, Psychonauts. Oh, & Heart of Darkness for the PSX.e]

The platformer one? It was atrociously hard as I recall. Good choice though.

I'm a bit of a ps1/saturn era nut, and I've managed to play through (either by scrounging the bargain bins or straight up emulation. YARGH) a lot of the cult classics from that period. I never did get round to playing Jumping Flash though.

I have to run Vista on my laptop because it's new and that's what came with it. The thing which annoys me most about it is the lack of Microsoft Sam - instead it's some bint called Microsoft Anna. Major disappointment.

I run XP on my actual desktop because I got it a while ago and that's what came with the operating system. Really I don't see what all the fuss with Vista is about. In any case I don't mind it being on my laptop because I didn't pay any extra for it and it looks better to me than XP does.

The Silent Hill games and Eternal Darkness for the Gamecube. (I never had a gamecube.)

Why the Silent Hill games, when they're fairly easy to come by? Look, I started Silent Hill 1. And then I got stuck the very first time any action even tried to happen. Problem is, it's a terribly old game and I think it may have bugged or something. I finally had to give up on that, so I tried Silent Hill 2. Which... I could in no way get the hang of. The controls and camera are all screwed to hell and back. I finally had to stop when my anger at the engine outweighed my interest in the game.

Remake the bugger with a camera that does not completely suck and I'll give it another go, but until then...

Shadow of the Colossus.
It looks so amazing, but I never see it for sale.
I also don't own a PS2.

Abe's Exodus, I got to play Odyssey, Munch and Stranger but never the second Abe title. Shame the company went bust
They didn't go bust, they just stopped making games because of the whole "new IPs are too risky" thing that happens in gaming.

They're making movies now, with Citizen Siege coming out next year (don't know exactly when but I do know it's not set on Oddworld).

You can get Exodus on Steam now, but play the demo first to see if the new control scheme suits you. The game looks and runs a lot smoother but I can't get used to the controls. Besides I still have the PSOne game and I've gotta say that it's my favourite game ever.

How was Munch? Should I bother getting it? I still have my Xbox and I've seen it in the shops but I've heard it's not very good...
I absolutely loved Munch, such a great move to 3D, highly recommended.

Hey, wait, I didn't write that quote, why does it say I did lol?

Anyway, congrats for buying the game. Indeed, sometimes the graphics are awkwark i.e. even though I found it perfectly, I wouldn't be surprised if people couldn't see the bell at the top of the church on the 2nd level.

I'm trying really hard not to play Sanitarium again. I want to give it a few years, forget about what happened, and relive the first time playing it all over again. Shame I remember this damn fine game only too well.
