I've always wanted a Fallout MMO. That way when everyone names their character *DeAtHRaIdEr* and runs around spewing profanity I'll just assume they're a raider and it'll be perfectly setting appropriate.
As Terminate stated, Mass Effect. But aside from that...Borderlands would make a great MMO. GTA sort of has an MMO, APB. And lastly...Assassin's Creed Multiplayer would make an interesting "open world" MMO. Think about that for a moment. I'm sure it would fail, but it'd be intriguing. An open, real time world of that sort of gameplay.
I agree with Somonah, kind of like Fable's co-op feature except not half assed. (Killing a dragon or a behemoth with my mates would be awesome :O )
I don't know if certain RPG's today should be turned into an MMO. I enjoyed Fallout 3 but I don't think the ugly and brown world that is the Wasteland to be a place I want to explore MMO style.
Psychonauts would be interesting. I was more impressed with that game's production values more than the bizarre gameplay. The places and characters are very well designed and fleshed out.
Left 4 Dead/Dead Island. It'd be like a third person Dead Island but everytime some dickhead sets off a car alarm they get bum rushed by a group of zombies.
